Liked: A cozy, clean hostel in a fantastic area nearby a park. Room 12 was very quiet room to sleep in. I will definately come back. Extremely friendly staff. Supermarket and 2 pubs just around the corner to taste Scottish way of life!

Disliked: No negative remarks.

Liked: It is in a good location, near food and a nice park. The rooms are great with plenty of room and a locker to place items.

Disliked: A bit of a walk from the train station

Liked: If you like quiet and nature, this is the place for you. Very clean bathrooms, kitchen etc. Lovely atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. I got a 2-bed dorm for less than most 8-bed dorms. If you like to party, rather go to a hostel closer to the centre. Also lots of free food, free tea and coffee all day - very nice especially if you've just landed.

Disliked: I liked everything, but if you are wheel-chair disabled you are not going to get up the stairs - specify that when making your booking so that they can get you a ground floor room.

Liked: Two big kitchens, plenty of bathrooms and toilets, and a sink in the room. Close to the city center. Great wifi.

Disliked: Not much.

Liked: This was the best backpackers we stayed in whilst overseas. The atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming, and the warm common areas and fantastic facilities, such as free tea and coffee, TV's in every room, DVD library and free internet made the stay feel like we were at home.

Disliked: Nothing at all - this place was amazing!

Liked: 2 kicthens, walking distance to the city centre, shops close by, organised and helpful.

Liked: I really liked the location, because the hostel is not in the middle of the tourist attraction, but in a nice and quite residential area. Although the bus connection is quite good, but you can walk everywhere. And grocery stores and pubs are just across the street.

Disliked: You can hear every word from your room neighbors. So sleeping in is not possible in this hostel, although we stayed in a private room.

Liked: Really nice homely hostel. Expensive as we were there in August. Really nice kitchen/lounge area. Very clean and 10 min walk from town

Liked: Really lovely hostel, which is more like the feel of a modern B&B rather than a pile 'em in youth hostel. Clean, great kitchen facilities, really homely set up, fantastic showers and great chill areas.

Disliked: The only thing is, it would be great if the bunks were secured to the wall as they do shake like the titanic on a massive swell whenever you bunk mate dares to move.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and the place is very well located

Disliked: It would be cleaned twice a day 2 baths There are many people with so few toilets. One of the showers to much noise every time it cycled. And they heard des rooms.

Liked: Very friendly vibe, good kitchen facilities, and nice conservatory. Good location away from the very centre of Edinburgh, but close enough to walk in 10 minutes.

Disliked: Only 2 bathrooms on each floor, and no separate toilets

Liked: That hostel was one of the best accommodation I’ve ever been. The stuff are friendly and helpful, there are a lot of facilities – like a big and furnished chicken, internet, a big leaving room- and the location is great, just close to The Meadow Park and ten minutes walking to the biggest attractions.

Disliked: We couldn’t stay longer

Liked: The facilites are good. They provide all kinds of cooking utensils. There is a greenhouse where we can eat, view the garden, read, use the computer and watch TV. Also, it is very near the bus 41 station.

Disliked: When we share rooms with others we sometimes are noised.
