Liked: Great hostel if you're coming to Edinburgh! Here are some reasons why...(a) The airport shuttle stops and departs on the same street as the hostel. very convenient for getting to the airport. (b) The hostel is secure. There are security cameras at reception, and swipe cards are needed to enter the hostel. Overall, I felt safe there.(c) Breakfast was sufficient enough. What's not to like about cereal and toast? Plus they had peanut butter and jam...good enough for me.(d) The staff are very helpful. There's a little kitchen where you can cook if need be. My traveling partner and I hung out in the reception room one night, chatting with one of the owners (aka Daniel Craig). He's a cool guy and was really generous. He definitely tries to make guests feel welcome. We went out to a bar one night with the Australian guy that works there, and James Bond generously paid for our cab and a round of drinks. I haven't encountered many hostel owners who have done that! Needless to say, we appreciated his kindness.(e) The sheets and towels were clean. No problems here. (f) The Hostel is undergoing some renovations, but the owners are really trying to revamp the place and make it better.(g) Location! We explored Edinburgh all by foot - the Castle isn't too far, it's right on Princes Street, and the Royal Mile isn't too far either. There's also a pharmacy and mini grocery store on the same street as the hostel which is handy. (h) The hostel has a rack full of tourist pamphlets about Scotland and Edinburgh. Here you can find maps and information about things like Ghost Tours and such. Definitely useful.Overall, I definitely recommend this hostel to other travellers. :o)

Liked: phenomenal hostel. and if (like me) you have ever wondered where james bond (aka daniel craig) hangs out in his spare time, ask ylber. but yeah you should probably stay here if you come to edinburgh

Liked: Clean hostel with a decent breakfast. Needs more toilets and showers though. Also the Shower on the second floor would sometimes just not work altogether. The location is good enough in that it is easy to find, but it is a looong walk from Old town which is where all the nightlife/ sights are centred around so if you're adverse to a hike back after a long night i wouldn't recommend it. Staff were nice enough, very laid back, but sometimes quite unknowledgeable. Shops nearby, overall, not a bad hostel.

Liked: Very friendly people. Quiet, safe and cosy. Very good location. Nice breakfast.The toilets had a few problems but were quite clean.Good value for money, I recommend it.

Liked: Very nice place in the city centre. Staff was outstanding - very nice, kind and helpful people. A bunch of really nice and open-hearted people stayed there during the time of our stay. Staying in the hostel is also very safe.

Liked: Best hostel ever, me and my friends (Miro, Ivan, Jure and Marko) stayed 4 nights there, and honestly with out great staff we wouldn't see half of city and Scotland with out them. Ylber and Andy know all the time what is the best in the city and can offer you great trips in highland for small amount. Hostel is 5 min from Castle, 1 min from Princes street simply the best location you can get. Honestly if you going to Edinburgh chose this hostel you will have great time. Liked: Its good, but we mark the bedlinen with a ballpen when the people in our rooms was changing and nobody change it. Different people sleeping in the bedlinen used by others. I dont know if we sleept in used bedlinen. The make the bed but no change the bedlinen.

Liked: it was a really nice place. The owners are really helpful and laid back. you stay there like its your place. very easy place to meet people. just sit at the office and watch tv you will get friends. max 10-15 minutes walk to castle and only 5 minutes walk to shopping places

Liked: This place has lots of character mostly because of the two amazing guys that run it. My stay at this hostel has definitely been my best ever hostel experience! Besides, I've made a good friend. In as far as the hostel is concerned it is centrally located, very clean, has rooms with attached bathrooms and is extremely affordable for what's on offer. No amount of money can buy you the positive vibe that runs around this place and the people who run it!
