Ben Craig Guest House is listed with the Scottish Tourist Board and our high ratings are reflected throughout this Victorian property, with its original period furniture and soft furnishings

Scotland is known the world over for its hospitality and at our family run residence this welcoming atmosphere is echoed throughout.

We are conveniently located in the Southside of Edinburgh within reasonable walking distance of the historic Old Town, the Museum of Scotland, the Scottish Parliament Buildings, numerous galleries and many more places of interest.

The area is well served by a bus service and, with secure parking at both the front and rear of the house, you can leave your car and enjoy a stress free day in the city, sightseeing or shopping, and in the evening perhaps take in a show. During the world famous Edinburgh International Festival held in August and September many of the venues are virtually our doorstep.

DIRECTIONS:

From South M6/A74
From the A74 take the A702 through Biggar, which will bring you on to the A720 City Bypass. Join the Bypass where signposted "Edinburgh South & East". Leave the Bypass at the first junction marked "Straiton Junction", join the A701 and follow the signs for City Centre. After 2.5 miles (4 km) bear left onto Craigmillar Park. Quarter a mile further on you will see Ben Craig House on the right.

From South M1
Take the A68 from Scotch Corner, through Jedburgh and Dalkeith. After Dalkeith the road will merge with the A7 where you follow the City Centre signs. After 2.5 miles (4 km) bear left onto Craigmillar Park. Quarter a mile further on you will see Ben Craig House on the right.

Alternatively Take the A1 round the coastal route and join the A720 City Bypass as you approach the city. Leave the Bypass at the first junction (Sheriffhall Roundabout) and join the A7 signposted Edinburgh where it merges with the A68. Then as above.

From Glasgow
The M8 Motorway now terminates at a roundabout known as the "Edinburgh Interchange". On the roundabout take the third exit signposted "Edinburgh South & East" and join the A720 City Bypass. Continue on the bypass until Straiton junction, leave the bypass and join the A701 as for M6 traffic.

From Edinburgh Airport
Follow the A8 trunk road to the "Edinburgh Interchange". Follow signs for A720 Berwick and South then continue as above
