Liked: My boyfriend and I stayed at a studio apartment with a kitchenette and a small lounge area. The location is in a central position and right in the middle of Edinburgh centre.

Disliked: Nothing much apart from the cost of was a bit too much

Liked: Within easy proximity to all main attractions-railway,buses,shops ,festival venues. Quiet area.

Liked: Very near the city center.I can access as I wish.

Disliked: The sound insulation is not good enough and my room is very close to the street. I can always hear somebody shout outside.

Liked: In a good spot. Really basic accommodation.

Disliked: It was really dirty. They didn't give us any toilet paper. And workmen came into our room to change the light fixtures and left stuff every where.

Liked: Central location; good value; allowed luggage storage; helpful staff

Disliked: 3am fire alarm; electricians doing maintenance upon arrival in our room; bathroom not entirely clean; bed too small (not double, and only single duvet)

Liked: Right in the heart of the new town and no curfew. Reception staff were friendly. Internet access worked well using cable left in room, if a little slow. Good cheap cafe round the corner for breakfast.

Disliked: It's soulless student accomodation and everything is very basic, albeit functional. I had some Spanish people come back from their night out at 3am and talk loudly in the corridor for over an hour and there was nothing I could do about it as reception is only open until 10pm. My room was not cleaned or made up during my 3-night stay but I suspect that is part of the deal.

Liked: Very central location, quiet.

Disliked: Not much happening there, if you're looking for the 'youth hostel experience', but I just needed a central place to stay, and it was perfect for that.

Liked: Great location. Simple but big room, if you want a place only to sleep, its perfect.

Disliked: The room was not so clean when i arrived.

Disliked: Very unfriendly infraestructure, I hardly saw somebody. A single common space for chat is missing.

Liked: The staff is really sincere. The place is very safe even for families. It is also so close to the center you can reach everywhere in a few seconds. As a result we ( me and my wife ) had a very good time there.

Liked: THE ROOM WAS BIG, LOCATION WAS GREAT

Disliked: I was very pleased with it, although there is no lift so if you have walking difficulties you may want to request staying on the ground floor

Liked: No hotel goodies like tea/ coffee and a TV are here since it's university halls but very good value for money. Clean, bit of a maze to navigate but the halls feel very safe – five minute walk to Edinburgh Waverley station and ten minutes to the Royal Mile. Highly recommended.

Liked: It was clean and secure as. our room had a clean en suite and the room was spacious. It was kind of like having our own apartment as through the main door was three bedrooms with ensuites and there was also a fully equipped kitchen and tv room justy for these 3 bedrooms.
