Liked: I'd like the most the atmosphere and character of the staff and their friendliness and helpfulness,and the view inside my bedroom too.

Liked: This hostel rents student dorms that are empty for the summer. The rooms are nice, arranged in groups of 3 or 4 rooms sharing one kitchen area, with individual locks on each bedroom.It's really close to Edinburgh city - an easy walk up North Bridge to High St, or around to George St.

Liked: Very safe and secure place (bit like forte knox :) Great location only seconds walk from Main street (Princes St). Place is a little tricky to navigate around but once you have done it a couple of time you will be ok. Has own laundry 2 pounds for a wash and 1 pound for a dryer, you need your own washing powder. Showers were ok but water pressure is off the scale (very high) and went hot and cold a bit. Matress on our 1st stay was ok but our second stay it was very bad (luck of the draw). Kitchens were ok, small common room with TV and pay phone, also vending machines. Over all it was an ok place to stay but was pretty pricey.

Liked: Location best, room ok the basics. The walls are quite thin so be prepared for noise from other guests in other rooms or the kitchen.Common kitchen was quite dirty. Nobody was interested in keeping it clean! I had to wash the refridgerator first to dare to use it. The worst thing was that nobody was empting the dustbins, so there was bad smell and many many flies from the rottening food.

Liked: I liked most the location ot the hostel as it's in the middle of Edinburgh!!! Moreover the room was clean and cosy:) The only drawback is that the earliest chek-in is at 2pm:(

Liked: Our room was clean and comfortable. There was a little problem with the water in the bathroom but nothing really important. I will reccomend it without doubt!

Liked: I liked its location: the hostel was near Princes Street and the Royal Mile. I liked people at the reception because they were very kind to me and my friends. I liked the fact that I had my room and a private toilet. I also had a kitchen to prepare something to eat when I didn't feel like going out. The room was good, with everything I need and quite clean. Indeed, the moquette was not very clean and the matress in my sister's room was not so good.

Liked: Really well located and good value for money. The layout of the building is super-confusing but once you've found your way the room was clean and comfortable, if basic.

Liked: it was a great place to stay. you get what you pay for. the free internet is via ethernet cord only. i recommend the private room. Thats where i stayed and it felt more like a cheap hotel than a hostel. The building is really 3 buildings stuck together so the hallways are a little confusing. It felt safe with the keycards. it is quite close to the train station and i would recommend it to those who can get a private room. (i have no experience with any of the other rooms, but like the private one!)

Liked: The accomodation is real nice and the people are friendly! If you come later at night you should have the right number to call one who open the door and give you the room. But if you are there, it is a real nice place to stay!
