Liked: Lovely hostel. I had never stayed in a hostel before and has visions of bugs, damp, and awful toileting facilities. I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything was spotless! Only problem in one room is the light didn't work, however when we reported this, we were all offered a breakfast the next morning, even those who didn't stay in that room! There is a lovely terrace out of the back of the hostel, perfect for sitting on a warm night! If you do goon the terrace after 11pm, make sure you keep the door wedged open! I shut it and had to wake 3 friends up to get it back open! I would definately recommend this hostel if you are looking for somewhere cheap, cheerful and clean!

Liked: The hostel was really good. It was worth the money. Although I would never stay in the hostel because I wanted to go out and see the city but my things were secure when I came back at night. The staff is extra ordinarily sweet. People go for this!!

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff - helped us find a way out of Edinburgh when the Iceland volcano first errupted in April. But the rooms have too many beds for their size.

Liked: the hostel is really nice which is rare for so cheap, but it's about a 15 min walk to Grassmarket, 20 to the Royal Mile, and 30 minutes to the bus station

Liked: The reception guy with the glasses is the most indifferent men we ever met. He is a robot and totally not in touch with HIS guests. He closes the kitchen at 10, sharp! and if u arrive 10,05 and wish to warm up your spagetties.... NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! imposible!!! u r 5 FIVE!! minutes late!!!!.. EAT THEM COLD!!except that!! everthing perfect!! the hostel is too good for 6 ponds!!! definitivelly recomend!!!

Liked: Such a good price and the service is also very good. The stuff even helps find out the time for sun-rise.To go the city centre it needs about 15-20 minute by me...But it is acceptable.

Liked: I didn't know what to expect when I booked a hostel bedroom with 16 beds for two weeks for my spring break. But I was not disappointed, and in fact was pleasantly surprised at what a great place I had found. The hostel is a place where one can catch a wink of sleep in quiet and is directly across from Haymarket train station, the second largest of its kind in Edinburgh. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's not hard to fit in whether you want to meet new people or if you just want to avoid people for a time. One can do both at this hostel. The kitchen is outstanding. This place was a terrific value for my money. If you'd rather stay in the party zone stay in central Edinburgh and not sleep that's fine. As for me I'll take the hostel at the west end of town.

Liked: Nice place to stay with friends and meet others. I just don´t liked that the kitchen and the comun room closed so early: 22 and 23 hours. Besides that, i have a great time there!

Liked: pro:- modern and professional- very clean- Edinburgh city within walking distance- very cheap- well-equipped kitchen facilitiescon:- linen smelled a bit too used- washing basisn very small, bad for brushing your teeth- shower bath was a bit clogged

Liked: It was newly renovated and clean. The showers were annoying cause you had to keep pushing the button so the water would run. Comfy lounge with huge TV and pool table.
