Liked: really nice little place, better than what I expected for the price, stayed in more expensive places to not as high a standard as this place. Friendly, clean and neat. Thumbs up !

Liked: This is the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed at, more like a hotel than a hostel. Run very professionally, all the staff are very helpful and go out of there way for you, will make a point of coming back if I can.

Disliked: rooms a bit busy

Liked: It was very near to city centre plus to railway station, so the location is really good.

Disliked: The room was really, really small and my bunk-bed had no ladder, so it was kinda hard to get there... and the cleaning lady probably took by accident my friend´s towel (which looked the same as the hostel towels) but the receptionist didn´t believe us and she claimed that we borrowed one towel from the hostel (which we didn´t)...

Liked: Fancy new place with good interior and nice mattresses. Plus: Breakfast for one pound per person as additional offer

Disliked: price was pretty high for a 14-bedroom with that location and the amount of showers might actually be not enough if fully booked

Liked: good location across from train station and decent place for the price

Disliked: bathrooms were a little dirty... not all showers and sinks worked

Liked: It was close to the centre.

Disliked: The toilets were mixed,and in the mornings you could find hair in the showers, disgusting. We didn't have lockers in the room although it was shard with 12 people and the 1 pound breakfast is nothing else than rice crisps and toasts

Liked: I liked the location. Its located centrally and high street, castles and other main attractions are near by. Walk-able so you don't have to spend money in transportation. Also there are some nice Indian (specially 'Punjabi restaurant') and Chinese restaurants nearby. The lady at the reception was quite helpful and answered all qs with a smile :). I would certainly recommend this hostel. thanks guys!! - Ash (India)

Disliked: An additional open garden or may be a little open area would have been great. Another thing which i didn't like is - they charge you 5£, if you check-in after 11pm. Rest all is well :)

Liked: Very clean, easy to find

Disliked: No proper communal area apart from in reception area - hence nowhere to chill out. But the biggest problem was that the dorms were mixed and so were the toilets and showers. Everything was quite cramped hence as girls you had no space to change,do make up, hair etc. There were also no plug sockets in the dorms hence charging phones, drying hair etc was a nightmare

Disliked: Tiny bathroom sinks. Impossible to use. Squeaky beds. Still a good hostel.

Liked: The beds were comfortable, the place was very clean including the bedding, it felt very safe and secure, it's directly opposite Haymarket station and there's loads of buses up to the centre if you can't be bothered to walk but it is within easy walking distance of Princes Street.

Disliked: Secure lockers are available for free but are only accessible via reception hence only really useful during the day. The breakfast was £1 which is cheap but you only have a choice of toast or cereal so if you are lactose and gluten intolerant like myself you'll have to look elsewhere for breakfast.

Liked: Friendly and helpfull staff. Very good location close to Haymarket station as well as to the city center. Quiet and respectfull guests.

Disliked: Awfully disturbing squeeking metal beds, waking up on every movement.

Liked: Easy to get there, good internet access, enough silence for sleeping during night

Disliked: It should have more toilets and showers available and more furniture for holding belongings on the rooms

Liked: Very well presented, clean and everything seemed quite new on the inside (refurbished I think)

Disliked: Lounge area closed at 11pm nd opened at 8am.... but still access available to powerpoints and internet etc during the night.

Liked: got what you paid for, comfy bed, good nights sleep, good wash facilities, conveinient location, diverse people staying there, working kitchen, generally clean, some members of staff were much nicer than others though, kitchen and lounge area was kept nice and clean by a staff member in the morning, other guests where very respectful, quiet time after 11pm was good and made sleeping easy, right next to haymarket station with supermarkets nearby excellent!

Disliked: some members of staff we found were quite rude on our arrival when we asked to leave our bags before we could check in even though we rang ahead in advance and asked, however others seemed nice, friendly and helpful, one of the showers didn't work properly and was slightly unclean, no seperate female/male toilets....a little strange but clearly bearable, they also overbooked as one girl with another group didn't have a bed in our dorm and had to be moved somewhere else i think, kitchen and lounge shut at 10 which was fine but there was no facility other than the bathroom to get a drink of clean water which would have been helpful, also the 'free tea and coffee' was provided in the kitchen without free milk!

Liked: the location is good, easy to find;not far from the airport.

Disliked: the room is too small for 6 people, and the shower is not good

Liked: All stuff of the hostel was very nice, willing and helpfull. I was feeling very well and I think that there are a lot of facilities for visitors.

Disliked: There was only one annoying thing which was horible grating of doors.

Liked: Directly opposite Haymarket station and a plethora of bus routes and stops nearby, however this makes some rooms rather noisy

Disliked: Little to say against the Hostel itself but how some guests are so inconsiderate when going to bed in the small hours
