The shuttle service they have to and from the city center of edinburgh. The really cool view they have of the bay. The lockers with keys they provide.

the view and location is fantastic - but don't expect anything near the city, since it is a good half hour outside the centre. That's not a problem with the free shuttle service and regular buses. It is the most amazing hostel by the water - the sunsets are gorgeous!

Three of us went to Scotland for leisure travel, and this is the first hostel that we stayed in Edinburgh. We had reserved a double private room and a dorm share room. The cleanliness of the rooms impressed us, especially the dorm share room. it is the cleanest dorm room i have seen and stayed. In addition, another point surprised me is that every bed is provided with a curtain which make me feel more privarcy for myself.
One minor thing that i want to mention is that the shuttle bus station of this hostel has changed to St. Andrew Square bus station but every websites even the hostel's own website have not mentioned about it, thus we had waited half hour waiting at Waverley Bridge (the original waiting point). Anyway, this is a very nice hostel with a resonable price, i will recommend it to all my friends who are planning to go to Edinburgh.

Pleasant, peaceful surroundings and good views as it backs onto the Firth of Forth. Great facilities including bar, pool table, gym, spa, DVD room, laundry, shop.
Although it isn't ideally situated in the city centre there is an hourly convienient shuttle bus that costs only £1.25 for the entire day.
Beds have curtains which is good for privacy and people sleeping whilst other room mates need the light on etc. In-room lockers provided for good security.
One thing that surprised me was the size and capacity of the place - it was more hotel sized with LOTS of people staying.

Big screen DVD room, nice location but bit far from Edinburgh, bus service was value for money though was restricting in the evening.

It was in a nice location by the water. Although a little far out of the city, the shuttle was nice. Check-in and out were simple and fast.
