Liked: Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Love the decor. Super-great value for money.

Disliked: Beds are quite close together (a little bit claustrophobic) but that's the only bad thing I can think of!

Liked: conveniently located to the main train station, i could see it from ma window, close to the main shopping/tourist/drinking areas Clean rooms, comfy beds ensuite well equipped bathroom for a tenner a night in the centre of Edinburgh you cant fault it a good chillout room and locker facilities were good extras room key gives you 10% off food n drink at bar Can not be faulted for budget, cost and quality, i am a repeat visitor

Disliked: nothing bar underneath is cheap and if you log onto belushi's website you can get a free vip card which gives 25% off food n drink and has diff offers every month such as 50% off food.

Liked: Everything. It was pleasant and they even offer half price meals in the morn.for those interested in otherthings aside frm free toast.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and polite. They offer good deals on food and drinks at the bar.

Disliked: They claim to offer free luggage storage, but they do not. They charge £3-5 for this service, and will confiscate unattended luggage and hold it ransom for a £5 fine. Also, the hostel was very dirty There is no heat in the hostel besides a few space heaters, and two of the ones in our room were broken, so it got pretty cold at night, especially in some areas which are not heated. The roof also leaked in our room, but at least they weren't booking those beds. It is also a hassle to continuously hold a button to operate the shower, which has no knobs to regulate the temperature, which fluxuates from scalding hot to freezing cold. One should also beware that this is a party hostel whose main income appears to come from the bar, so you won't likely get a good night's sleep here, unless you bring a mask and earplugs. They also lack any kind of kitchen for guests. Other than that, everything is fine.

Liked: Great location, free wi-fi, 50% off meals during January.

Disliked: Annoying water-saving showers, staff were not particularly friendly, and I felt the security was a little bit lax.

Liked: The hostel was a lot of fun to stay at. It has its own bar with live music, but you can also drink your own drink if you're broke in the common room. I stayed in January so all the food was half price from 7am-pm which was a really good deal.

Disliked: This hostel had the worst showers, they were really cold and had no pressure... Some of the staff were less helpful than others at certain points as well, though in general most of the staff were all good.

Liked: We stayed there for one day, and we had so much fun. The room was clean and the heater functioned furthermore the shower which was in the room was very clean.

Disliked: At night it was very noise because of celebrating people at the corridor. The door in our room was not safe, because other people could it open by kicking !!!

Liked: Clean and WONDERFUL LOCATION! Roommates and staff were good and friendly.

Disliked: They had five false fire alarms over two nights which were utterly annoying. They woke us all up for nothing! Plus the water boiler in our ensuite toilet was broken and we had to use the common showers instead.

Liked: The staff was very friendly, so were all the other guests. It really was fun chilling in the bar in the evenings with the live music and just no worries of where to put your jacket, you just know it wont be stolen by anyone so you can drop it wherever you'd like (for example)

Disliked: The size of the plates with breakfast were kinda small. for example toast and scrambled eggs, it just isn't enough to sell as a full size plate, on the other hand the price was not too bad either, so you could easily order another plate.

Disliked: Keys didn't work thefts at hostel made us feel uneasy hostel should take into consideration age of guests when making bookings. Perhaps a separate room for these guests would be mote appropriate.

Liked: Location is just GREAT. Free breakfast also GREAT. The cage underneath the bunk bed is spacious enough.

Disliked: The rooms are too small... and there was party noise ... so crowded in the bar/entrance, no common area at all, and virtually there's not a reception place there.
