Liked: too much noise around in case you have a soft sleep. the stairs are terrible,4th floor which makes exhausting and roonsare quite dark and not too clean.staff is great,nice and helpful.

Disliked: 4th floor , unending stairs.tv room needs to be improved + not too clean in general + rooms far from reception

Liked: It had a ton of character. There was paintings all over the walls and the rooms were organized well. The staff was friendly and we could leave our bags there if we were going to be out all day even if we had checked out.

Disliked: It seemed kind of stingy. I only slept there, but I probably wouldn't hang around there too much (besides, there's so much to do around the city!) The bed wasn't made when I got in. So that made me a little wary to sleep in it... But I was so tired by the end of the day, I didn't really care. Still, it would have been nice for the bedding to at least look like it had been washed and cleaned.

Liked: The wall decorations gave it charachter.

Disliked: Their directions were poor and they made it seem like they were on St Andrews Square when in fact they are in a small back street up 4 flights of stairs with overly crowded rooms that don't have locks on them and awful cleanliness standards (not to mention my bed that barely had enough room to get in and I could feel every spring). The toilets and showers were atrocious, that is the ones that were still in working order. Not worth 12 pounds.

Disliked: Everything. Dirty bed sheet and pillow. Broken locker. One shower room for too many people, broken door in shower. Horrible graffiti on the wall. Smelly. Will never stay here again. With 11£/night, you can get better dorm room elsewhere.

Liked: - the staff is friendly, cool atmosphere, the location excellent-centre. good as an emergency place to sleep over cheap...but not to spend more days.

Disliked: - if you are not a backpacker-don't go! too many stairs to carry the luggage to a top floor - if you are not young and tolerant to the fact that there are too many strangers sharing the same room,followed by inevitable smells, don't go! - if you need emergency place to stay 1 night ,just to slap over,it ok.otherwise, the beds are clean but in a terrible state. mattresses completely roughened. -

Liked: What a great place to stay and so cheap! Great vibe about the place, staff were so helpfull and it was in the middle of everything. Bus station around the corner nd then a few minutes walk to all attractions and shopping!!!

Disliked: Not much to dislike, everything was great, facilities and staff. Wasa journey to the top, but a litle excercise never hurt anyone.

Liked: Very interesting and colourful inside! The staff were really friendly and the sheets smelt good! it is in an excellent location near the train station - good value for money!

Disliked: Very big dorms, which means there was a lot of coming and going during the night.

Liked: This beautiful building has great charactor, lots of cool coridors leading to the rooms and a cool little TV/DVD chillout room!

Liked: THE STAFF! They are absolutely fabulous and will make your stay so great, very helpful. Best location you could ask for really, so close to all the main things there are to see. Had a kitchen, plenty of showers so I never had to wait, TV room, wireless internet, everything you need really. Plus they let you store your luggage for free, big bonus.

Disliked: Wasn't a worry for me but if you had big bags it might be an effort to get them up all the stairs if they were suitcases not backpacks.

Liked: It was very clean and very safe. The location was great and the kitchen was big. Whole place was huge actually, lots of space to hang out.

Disliked: It's not necessarily something wrong with the hostel, but from the website I got the feeling it was going to be not a party hostel, but the kind of place where everyone sat around and hung out and was very social. This wasn't exactly the case, which is fine, but usually I like hostels where I can meet people. It's a good place if you're just looking for somewhere to sleep but not if you're looking to meet people or make some friends. Also the kitchen is closed for cleaning 2 hours every afternoon which is a problem if you want to have lunch at 2 or 3 instead of noon. But they have a smaller kitchen downstairs as well so it wasn't really a problem.

Liked: We only stayed one night and weren't in the hostel for much other than sleeping, but the kitchen/common area was really fun and there were a lot of people mingling. The location was perfect, right between the train and bus stations and by the main shopping strip.

Disliked: There weren't plugs by the beds to charge phones and the rooms were a little cramped. Also there are only bathrooms on the floor, not connected to the rooms.
