Liked: I did not like the property as architetural properties and the inner design...All the walls painted some terrible animal figures..I felt myself in the cave of Satanists...

Liked: Alicia Murphy's (I hope I remember her name) murals. The hostel would have been great because of them, except that just about everything else conspires against the warm fuzzy feeling you get about the place because of them. The place is centrally located, but so are most other hostels, including one much nicer below this one. The price was good but nothing much was included and for the same price you could be staying at a nicer place.

Liked: If I went to Edinburgh, I'd definitely choose this hostel again. I mean the location and the stuff is great, the cleanliness is also good. There wasn't anything I could miss in a hostel and I've met many interesting people. What else could you possibly want for that value?

Liked: Really amusing decor and "themed" areas, cool tv den, free coffee/tea all day, multiple kitchens, and awesome location.Check out the great pub downstairs!

Liked: We´ve stayed in this hostel for three nights and were absolutely satisfied. Friedly and helpful staff, nice people, clean and safe. And such a great location! I fully recommend staying in Princess Street Backpackers.

Liked: The first impression is awful but it is a hostel with a good cost/benefit, great location and the best showers!

Liked: It was exactly as promised ; quite close to the station and a fun place to be in. The dorm was clean and the toilets also was ok (as expected of a dorm).there is kitchen to make some basic breakfast (yourself ofcourse).Staff were friendly and helpful.only draw back its on top of a building and u have only stairs to get there (74 to be exact)

Liked: Amazing artwork, it has to be said. Definitely fun and friendly staff who knew what they were talking about, and the hostel itself a complete warren that was quite fun to explore. TV room pretty cool. Useful to have the use of the kitchen too. Very enjoyable stay.

Liked: Really nice place.. Those drawings on the walls creats a nice atmosphere. It is located in the heart of Edinburgh. The only problem was some snoring guys at night, but that is ok! :) I strongly recommend this hostel.

Liked: The hostel itself was ok - the location not. Due to the pub beside it was really noisy because of the music (from 21:00 to 3:00). I I knew that, I would have stayed in an other place.

Liked: Very cozy hostel, located in a strategic position. The stuff is very kind and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed and happy. It is quite easy to meet people but also to keep some privacy. The attention to details is remarkable: paintings on the walls, books to read and, last but not least, a good collection of video-tapes available in the tv room ;-)I definitely recommend Princes Street East Backpackers.

Liked: the main thing i loved about this hostel is that people couldnt bring back whoever they wanted. i went on a pub crawl, a guy walked me back to my hostel, i quickly went to the toilet while he wasn't allowed past reception (no visitors allowed), and then i went to bed, so i got rid of him without him following my all the way back to the room. yay!
