Liked: The best hostel I've been in - the best possible location, friendly staff, nice rooms and common areas, no complaints really.

Disliked: Fridges get full (but that's nitpicking).

Liked: Location is awesome. Right in the middle of everything. Easy to find. Rooms and facilities were clean.

Disliked: Internet access was spotty. Way too noisy. Especially the fire doors. Everytime someone went through them I woke up.

Liked: Great hostel and staff, in an unbelievable location, rooms have free lockers and safes which is good, beds are comfy and the bathrooms and always superclean! Really liked the way it is situated in the centre of all the attractions, easy to find etc

Disliked: Quite a few larger groups were staying at the same time so they all sort of took overand the general vibe was brought down a bit because it's hard to get in with large groups that travel together when your a solo traveller, but all in all I enjoyed my stay

Liked: The hostel was very clean and secure. I loved all the art and deco around the building that gave it its character as well as all the events that they offered for travelers. If I didn't want to, I could stay in the hostel all day and still have a great time.

Disliked: I didn't know that the bathrooms were co-ed and was a bit surprised at first about that.

Liked: Great location, very clean, nice rooms, super awesome staff (seriously, they rock!).

Disliked: Absolutely nothing i could complain about.

Liked: Perfect location right next to the Castle. Fantastic lounge room. Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of showers.

Liked: An excellent location. Good internet and kitchen facilities.

Disliked: I stayed for a week in this hostel and I can honestly say I could not have felt less welcome or less part of the fun. The staff were a very tight clique. I think there was a lot of longer term residents. They seemed to just want to spend time hanging out with each other and were in no was inclusive. I was travelling by myself and probably didn't make much of an effort to join in but I really felt excluded. Felt very self conscious and like I was in the way when I was just the very good kitchen facilities.

Liked: Edinburgh is the place to be! The Hostel is directly next to the castle and you have a great view from the rooms. My room was big and bright. You have your own lockers in the room including a safe. The staff is super nice and helpful. They offer a pubcrawl but it's not just a hostel for party people. The kitchen is huge as is the common room , incuding a pool table.

Disliked: There were no hot showers on a regular basis, which was just because of the construction. But they were very sorry for that and tried their best to make up for that.

Liked: The location was great, and the facility was very clean.

Disliked: We had booked a guys only room but found out after turning in for the night that the room was mixed. Also unfortunately the hot water wasn't working while we were there, which made showers rather challenging. To be fair, the price was reduced because of the hot water so we appreciated that.

Liked: The hostel had a very friendly atmosphere.

Disliked: The beds were so close to the wall that I punched and kicked it several times and found it hard to sleep.

Liked: It is really in an extremely good location!!! The staff is incredibly helpful and there is really no hidden charges!!! The kitchen is great help to keep the budget and the common areas, atlhough crowded, have lots of personality.

Disliked: Ok, so the Patio is not really sunny, but that's Edimburgh's fault! And we did have a problem with the first room they put us in. It was the smelliest room ever, but they were incredibly understanding and change our room and, to be honest, there is a chance that this was not their fault (although the carpet seemed a likely culprit).

Disliked: Plenty of places to charge electronic devices, but none of them inside the rooms.
