Liked: I really liked the breakfast, it was offered for a long period of time and there was a good selection for a continental. The computers were available all the time and the internet was free, another great bonus! The lounge/ bar area was comfortable with alot of activities provided, like giant chess and pool, and drinks are reasonably priced.

Disliked: I found the rooms to have a lot of street noise, and I didn't like the toilets and showers. There was 3 showers for an entire floor of females. The shower had no area to change and when the door was open, anyone passing by could see into the showers.

Liked: the location and the pub crawl they organised. and having a wii and computer for use

Disliked: the dorms were quite large but i didnt have any trouble sleeping

Liked: Comparing to other hostels in UK, it;'s very clean and friendly. A good and cheap place to stay. Plus there is a chance to get breakfast - toast, cereal, coffee, tea, juice, Free internet access, nice, a bit freaky design.

Disliked: Couldn't find a socket in the room.

Liked: The whole chilled set up of the place like the bean bag room the swamp bar and the space in the room

Disliked: The squeaky floor boards. Made it harder to come in and out late without disturbing people

Liked: EVERYTHING! Bean bag cinema is tops :) Whole place is great, free laptops use, cheap bar comfy beds!

Liked: This place was better by far than all the hotels we stayed in in London. I felt a bit too old to be at a hostel, but enjoyed being there and would go again.

Disliked: I have no complaints.

Liked: hell chilled out, atmosphere awesome, some much to do if you just want a quiet night in (wii, movies, cucumber lounge) paintings all over the walls are amazing, Loved my stay and will definatly be back!

Liked: Great character and amazing range of facilities provided, laundry room cheap and efficient. Very short walk to shops and castle, the most comfortable bed I've stayed in since leaving home!

Liked: This place has an awesome atmosphere. Everything is artistically decorated, there's always good music, and the staff are always keen to offer adivce or just have a chat. There's a big kitchen, a bar/lounge, the 'Cucumber Room' which is a great place to read or have a nap, and a freaking beanbag cinema. Also, plenty of computers with free internet access scattered across the building is a big plus

Disliked: The only negative thing I could say was that the laundry is quite small and closed between 10am-6pm. Then again, it's cheap, so who cares

Disliked: Hostel quite frequently throughout Europe, and can't say many the staff are as friendly here as other places I've been to. Perhaps it's more noticeable because I usually travel with a group..

Liked: I have never seen a hostel this amazing. The interiors of the building are fun and artsy, the bar has amazingly comfortable seats, the kitchen is well equipped and large. The beds are amazing for the money - the sheets are clean and fresh, the mattresses are not lumpy or springy. The noise of the bar and the TV room can be a bit distracting, but are for the most par easy to block out. Caledonian Backpackers surprised us in the most pleasant of ways, and can be sure we will be back.

Disliked: The lockers in the rooms did not have a lock, however the rooms were key-card accessible only, so it still felt secure.

Liked: Great place. Love the cucumber room the best! The Swamp bar is great, good wifi, place is very clean, lockers in the rooms are a great size a very big thumbs up!

Liked: the bar was great, everyone was nice and the breakfast was amazing. the movie room was a great place to chill, always someone to party with. got to call my family back home for the first time in a few months thanks to their skype phones available for use.

Disliked: it was great, no dislikes.
