Liked: Great location, close to train station and downtown shopping, comfortable beds, friendly atmosphere, good breakfast, wonderful to have games and the internet available at no cost! :)

Disliked: nothing; no smoking facilities, but then again, nowhere in the UK has them nowdays.

Liked: It was easy to find, the staff were very welcoming and helped me find any attractions I wanted to see, the atmosphere was fun and respectful

Disliked: More variety for breakfast would be great!

Liked: The hostel is great, one of the best I've ever been to. They lent you computers for free, wifi is great, breakfast is good and included, the staff is helpful, and they don't charge for extra things, like lockers and luggage room.

Liked: Everyone was very friendly, it was nice and chill to relax in, and it was a great location to all the main sites.

Disliked: It was too hot in the rooms. I talked to a few other people staying there and we all said we were up at night sweating. Other than that, nothing

Liked: They let me leave my bag in their security lock up after I checked out and let me wait in the hostel, after I checked out, for my bus. They provided free breakfast and cleaned my dishes. They provided hot, filtered water for my herb infusion. They let me check in early. Their bathrooms provided soap, paper towels and toilet paper. The price was very reasonable. The staff were attractive, conscientious, relaxed and helpful.

Disliked: The noise from the city outside: sound-proof glass windows would be an asset. They did not provide free locker security. Other guests would turn on bedroom lights while I was trying to sleep.

Liked: Awesome - so welcoming and everything you need there inc internet and breakfast. Staff were friendly and general chilled and friendly atmosphere.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: Breakfast until 12, lockers in dorms, cheap laundry, bar open til late, big kitchen

Disliked: most of the staff were wonderful but a couple of staff members were a bit grouchy

Liked: Vegemite is available for breakfast. They have a giant Chess board and Risk. Great atmosphere in the common room. Friendly, quick thinking and competent staff. Tight security (they studied my unusual government ID on check-in and dealt quickly and calmly with a man who tried to enter the property without authorisation. He was possessed by a demon). Imaginative décor but reassuringly scruffy. Clean throughout. Plenty of loo roll. I could quite happily have spent more time in the hostel.

Disliked: I found a woman in my bedroom.

Liked: Nice to have free simple breakfast, hairdrier available too for a deposit (good for the ladies). Free wifi all over the hostel, good location. Nice vibe. One very helpful and smiley member of staff.

Disliked: One rude American girl at reception. Very stand offish and unwelcoming.

Liked: The building itself had a lot of charm. The bar was pretty quiet but if you wanted to meet people you could. The beds were great and the anytime check in was fantastic. I arrived and my bed wasn't made however I could leave my things in the locker and go exploring. When I came back, everything was ready for me. The wireless is good and breakfast, though only toast and cereal, was pretty good as it was served until noon, the same as the checkout time.

Disliked: THE STAIRS! Was a pain with heavy bags however the rest of the hostel outweighed the inconvenience of the stairs!

Liked: The showers on my level were nice and clean, beds were comfy. . . lockeris in room don't lock but they offer a secure lockers behind the bar for a small fee. Kitchen was big and clean.

Disliked: The hostel was a little bit out of the centre of town so it was a 15min walk uphill to get into town each day. Showers would have been better if they had a section to get changed in - rather than having to hang everything outside the cubicle.

Liked: Great atmosphere! Fantastic for solo travelling met some really great people! Kitchen, bar, chill out room, free wifi, laptops, skype phones and cinema! Not to mention the cool artwork on the walls! Definitely good value for money, easy walk to old town, castle, transport!

Disliked: Nothing it was great

Liked: Great atmosphere. Lots of different facilities - bar, chill out room, good kitchen, computer room, bean-bag cinema. Centrally located. Good breakfast offered - range of cereals, condiments, fresh and tinned fruit, yoghurt.

Disliked: Stayed in a 38 bed dorm which was a bit worn-out!

Liked: I loved that it had breakfast and free internet/computer access. You can even print if you need to (for a small fee). The location was also great. It was very easy to find. Walking up Princes Street from the bus station, you can see it just to the right of the Caledonian Hotel, on a side street.

Disliked: I don't know about the other bathrooms/shower rooms, but the female bathroom/shower room on the third floor only had one sink. When everyone needs to use the sink at night to wash up, it's a bit inconvenient.

Liked: Out of 8 or 9 different hostels we stayed at, this one was probably the overall best. They are modest about their breakfast in the description, but honestly it was far better than any other breakfast we had. There is a bar in the hostel with board games and wifi. Staff was very friendly and relaxed.

Disliked: Some of the bathrooms were a little dirty but not terribly. The wifi was a bit wonky but you can get it in your room which is awesome. I'm struggling with things to write here.

Liked: (1) A quiet room (called Beanbag Room) with beautiful bird sound and natural sunshine. Suitable for using computer & reading books. (2) Big kitchen w/ enough utensils. (3) The room is spacious (relative to many other hostels' dorms) despite having 12 beds (6 bunker beds). (4) Big lockers assigned to each bed (BUT the design of the lock hole is not good - too big that even after locking with my padlock, it can still be opened cuz my padlock's shackle is not thick enough. (5) Spacious common areas. (6) Helpful staff who helped me call booking a tour at a late hour.

Disliked: (1)Very small shower cabins with ground glass door and no hooks. You are forced to hang your clothes and towel outside and compromise privacy - I think some simple steps like adding a shower cutain and some hooks can help solve the problems. (Please reference Inverness's Student Hostel which has done good in this respect!). (2) Shaky bunkers! (Also please reference Inverness's Student Hosatel who have really solid and fixed bunker beds!)
