Liked: it was very clean, the reception girls were very very friendly. Everything was perfect.Breakfast was not included but it was cheap and very good.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and accommodated to our travel times, allowing us to use the facilities before and after we checked out. The location was perfect and the hostel provided a lot of things to do for free and discounted offers for their travelers

Disliked: There was really nothing to complain about!

Liked: Individual bed lights and lockers. one kitchen and dining room stayed open all night. heated dorms.

Disliked: 'Chill out room' was literally chilly. Only cold place in the hostel.

Liked: Nice place to stay in Edinburgh, location is perfect right next to Grassmarket and all the best pubs and bars. Staff are welcoming and facilities are clean.

Disliked: Noise in corridor was sometimes annoying.

Liked: Not much. The location's fine, but Edinburgh's a small place, I think most hostels would be well located. No one stole our drinks from the fridge, so that was good I guess...

Disliked: The room size!! Our 6-bed dorm was tiny!!!!!!!!!!!! Four of us were trying to pack up and check out at the same time, and it was virtually impossible. There's no room for anything. No fresh air in the rooms, and it was really stuffy and cramped. The door made a loud banging noise no matter what you did, so you were always waking each other up. At night there's a 10pm noise curfew, but it wasn't enforced at all, and there was loud noise and banging coming from all through the hostel all night. The common rooms were not very friendly, and didn't seem large enough for the amount of people they'd crammed into the hostel (it's winter, so there were a lot of people hanging out inside). Showers are mostly unisex, which doesn't bother me, but they didn't seem to be cleaned that often, and the shower cubicles are small and hard to get in and out of. Basically, I guess you get what you pay for. If I go back to Edinburgh I'd pay a bit extra for somewhere nicer.

Liked: The staff were incredibly friendly, easy-going, and the location was prime.

Disliked: Parts of the building were freezing cold. I know it's winter, but it should have been warmer than that.

Liked: We enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh and at Budget Backpackers that we extended our stay! What's great? Clean kitchens and bathrooms (lots of them!) Good rooms with heaters and dooners, very friendly and helpful staff! Watch a movie or hang out in the lounge, play in the games room or explore the city very close by!

Disliked: The only thing that wasn't toyally awesome was the wifi, it's a bit temperamental, but apparently they are changing server soon which should fix this problem. With so many different kitchens and hang-out spaces it can be hard to really meet alot of other travellers. But overall a great pace to stay! :)
