Liked: Great price, good location. Fairly quiet when I stayed on a weeknight, which worked well for me to be up early the next morning.

Disliked: Some of the showers are very small and don't have any room for you to put your stuff while you are showering.

Liked: This hostel is located in the centre of the city, the rooms and facilties are nice and worth the money.

Disliked: It was said that there would be free parking, but due to refurbishemnts the parking lot couldn't be used, and we had to spend a fortune for a normal pariking lot.

Liked: Excellent location in Grassmarket, close to almost everything. The staff were really helpful and pleasant, too.

Disliked: The lockers didn't lock, so they were like a place just to hold your bag, not keep it safe. Had to pay for internet, but only one pound for unlimited wireless, so not bad.

Liked: It's right near the center of the city, between the Castle and the University, ideally placed for partiers and tourists. The staff were great, helpful and knowledgeable about the city.

Disliked: The room was pretty cold.

Liked: This was the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Everything was really clean, the staff was super nice and I made friends with a couple of them. There are pub crawls every weeknight where I met some really cool people and got to see the best pubs and clubs in the area. We even went to a concert thing for free. The location is great, a five minute walk to Edinburgh Castle and a ten minute walk to the center of the city. I would highly recommend this to anyone. I was even impressed with the clean, well working showers, which are rare in hostels.

Disliked: There are no mirrors in the rooms.

Liked: GREAT STAFF!! Close to everything. Really helpful and knowledgable with booking tours etc.

Disliked: My room on the street was a bit noisy. I like to have some chill time occasionally. Also there is some construction going on for a while as theyre extending the property which i wasnt told about before i travelled. But this didnt take away from the rest of the stay. It was great

Liked: Perfect location, clean, safe and very organized. Simply one the best hostel I've ever stayed.

Disliked: They have a free pub tour, which I tought was great, as the others pub tours are about 12 pounds. We did this pub tour and found out it was horrible. The guide was totally indiferent with the people. She did not explain anything, you got to stay the whole night looking for her, otherwise you will loose her and the group. At the end she was suppose to give us a vip ticket and she didn't. I ask her and she said she does not have it and just left. Really bad, but all the other people in the hostel was very friendly and I highly recommend this hostel besides its pub tour.

Liked: 1.Vibrant 2.amazing kitchen 3.well located 4.great staff 5.clean bathrooms

Disliked: 1.showers are not exactly hot. 2.charging for washing machines is unfair.its a hostel not a laundrette. 3.not enough power points in rooms.each bed should have its own supply. 4.most kitchens are closed,i only found one working.so mention it,no big dealthe one functioning is excellent. 5.the colored walled theme gets a lil too much once you find it inside the dorms.its nice but ts been stretched too far by making the dorm walls so colorfull. 6.please use the concorde at the national flight museum as an attraction.the staff didnt know there was a concorde on display 20 miles out of edinbrough.many ppl would love to go. OVERALL: if you want to enjoy scotland, this is the place to go to!!

Liked: The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The location is amazing. Comfy beds, clean sheets.

Disliked: Pretty noisy on the ground floor at night. The hot water was a bit hit and miss, had to go to a bathroom on the top floor because of the way the hot water comes through the building. An odd smell in the corridors...
