Disliked: Temperature control facilities, Windows only on lower part of large shared dorm Close to bars and pubs, creating noise

Liked: clean, easy to find, very good location.

Disliked: bunk beds creaked unless you were still all night. very annoying to sleep on the top of you're trying to not disturb your room-mates.

Liked: Very colorful, convenient location, clean, cheap breakfast, nice staff, 1 pound for unlimited internet access on a personal computer, safe locker storage, comfortable bed, reliable internet

Disliked: Wifi is only available in the Kitchen and Front Desk Area

Liked: It had a very friendly atmosphere. Right in the centre of Edinburgh as well.

Disliked: It was very loud at night.

Liked: it was clean, bed was comfortable and staff helpful and friendly, great for going away with friends. i personally wouldn't take my partner, but such a great place for somewhere to sleep for a short weekend with the girls. Located centrally, certainly would recommend it, and would come back again in future if in Edinburgh.

Disliked: no where to get dressed in privacy other than small shower or toilet cubicle as our bathrooms and bedroom was mixed sex.

Liked: was near the city center... offers a lot of thinks for young people

Disliked: actually everything was good or rather it was better as expected.

Liked: bathrooms were very clean, clean linen, helpful staff, excellent lockers

Disliked: Bathrooms - could be more of them- ie, when there are close to 40 people on one floor sharing three showers its going to cause problems... also the kitchen appears to also be a common room... so there is no where really in the hostel to just hang out and relax. there really is no excuse for the hostel not to have free WIFI- most european hostels do it- time to lift the game in scotland.

Disliked: The directions to get to the hostel were confusing. I couldnt get there so easily.

Liked: For good location for a very good price. Has everything you need in a hostel

Disliked: You have to pay for the internet and 90% of the time it didn't work so that was a waste

Liked: It was right in the heart of town

Disliked: The place is not laid out for so many occupants and there is a lack of communal roomspace and of toilets and bathrooms. In the evening, there was not a single available chair in the kitchen. The rooms are packed, so not a handbreadth room there either. The internet never worked and nobody seems to be in charge of fixing it.

Liked: Bright, friendly, centrally located, informative staff, locker service. All round good facilities

Disliked: We stayed in a private room, however were located next to another room where a large group of lads were staying and were up for most of the night, this meant we only got about 2-3 hours sleep. Maybe these sorts of rooms should be located away from other rooms, or have a quiet area of the hostel (boring i know, but sometimes you need to sleep!)

Liked: The free walking tour organised by the hostel was fantastic. It was very close to lots of pubs.

Disliked: Common room was being renovated so the communal areas were too small - not enough room for everyone at meal times.

Liked: Cheap.

Disliked: The building was very noisy, got little if any sleep, could hear every person in the stairwell and even outside in the street, fine if you were on a night out but otherwise not good!
