Liked: Very central, clean and awesome facilities!! Aka bar! Possibly the best hostel we have stayed in, and definitely going to stay again!!

Liked: Central to city

Disliked: I paid over 50 Gbp For a double room and didn't even get a towel provided. Guys loudly were vondimg beer via a funnel and hose in the dining room and not stopped by staff. The kitchen was a pig sty in the AM, it had not been cleaned overnight despite 24 hr staff.

Liked: Brilliant place to stay! The staff are friendly, and its bright, clean and cheap. Location is perfect as it is right next to the castle, the royal mile and the train ststion. Beds and shower areas are clean & lockers are available. The seating area is bright and quirky with a retro twist. The food is really tasty, definately worth the extra couple of quid!

Liked: Quite a large hostel, situated perfectly in the grass market. Was so clean, had a kitchen and an awesome chill out room as well as a bar. The staff were lovely and always happy to help. Would recommend staying here to all.

Liked: It's in a great location and there's a lot of space in all the rooms. Plenty of outlets, great WiFi reception, personal reading lights, and free lockers.

Disliked: Could have been a bit cleaner, but it's a cheap hostel—you know what you're getting yourself into.

Liked: EVERYTHING! What's not to love! Free walking tours, free pub crawls, free internet access, friendly staff! Amazing bar/food, dining room, games room! This place is huge and awesome I cannot wait to stay here again!

Disliked: Absolutely nothing....well actually I didn't like the uni-sex bathrooms and that there was no lift :(

Liked: This stay was the second time we stayed at this hostel, will always book here when in Edinburgh, the hostel is excellently located, you couldn't ask for better really, and it is reasonably priced with a large variety of different types of rooms.

Disliked: nothing really to complain about, the bathrooms are a little old, but i don't think that a major issue when it comes to just the look.

Liked: space in the dorms, free locker in the room, laundry in the backpackers so i could wash my clothes, wifi in my dorm

Disliked: dryers need to be hotter, it took 2 turns (40 mins) to dry my clothes...but to be fair that aint that bad

Liked: Friendly staff, nice location, not too pricy, clean, nicely decorated, good that you can go back 24hrs, etc!

Disliked: Having to pay for breakfast - for £2 I got value white bread with horrible jam and value orange juice... Yuck! Not nice for my hangover lol! Also I am vegan and think you should have soya milk availible - also good for lactose intolerant customers! And vegan cereal, spread etc. Also scrap the token idea, may as well pay at the start when you get your room key. You should sell toiletries too.
