Liked: + : clean place, functionnal furniture, great location (5 minutes walk to the main street, 2 minutes walk to pubs), friendly and helpful staff, lockers for your luggage, FREE WALKING TOUR offered,- : 2£ for average breakfast, internet not free

Liked: It is in a great location, just one street over from the royal mile, and the staff were nice. It feels a bit like staying in a college dorm. It has many kitchens, which made it a little hard to meet people. But there is a central dinning room and free walking tour and free pub crawl.

Liked: Excellent location just around the corner from the castle, 24 hour reception and cheap breakfast. It was however in rather a noisy location.

Liked: The rooms were a decent size.The toilets were pretty disgusting in the mornings-more due to fellow travellers than lack of cleaning. The sheets/duvet covers are pretty old and worn.Its not up there with the best hostels I've stayed in but it's not the worst either. I didn't feel that it deserved a rating as high as it has.

Liked: The breakfast add-on was quite cheap compared to other hostels. There were enough bathrooms and I didn't have to queue. The location is in the centre, easy to get around Edinburgh.I would recommend this to people.

Liked: it was close to everything with great clean facilities and very friendly staff, one of the best hostels ive stayed at! i always book with hostel bookers and havnt been disapointed yet!! thanks

Liked: The decoration inside are amazing! every day they propose a free city tour and on the night a pub crawl so you can't miss the best things!!! there is enough bathrooms and toilets, so no need to wait (we were 9). i definetely recommend this place, and it's cheap!!!

Liked: I imagine it was a great place to meet people, but it was really way too loud. The quiet hours were not observed at all, and in our three nights there, we had trouble sleeping for each one of them. Definitely a "party hostel", so if that's what you're looking for, go ahead and have a great time. If not, maybe not the best bet, though it is a great deal.They jack the rates up a lot on weekends...but otherwise it's very cheap.Awesome staff too...extremely helpful in many ways.

Liked: the staff was great, the kitchen very nice, excellent location; if you have an early morning it can be a little loud at night, but a very fun place to stay

Liked: The walking tour and pub crawl were awesome, mostly because the staff was so fun. Loved Jo!!! She was the best!

Liked: By far one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at, and it's very reasonably priced to boot. All of the staff were fantastic, very helpful and nice. This is a great hostel to mingle and meet other travelers, there are activities everyday. Overall it was a very fun and clean hostel, will defintely stay there again if I go back to Edinburgh.
