Liked: The hostel is very near to the bus station and city centre. The staff there is friendly and helpful. Good thing there are free lockers next to the bed and the place is safe. If you don't have a key you cannot enter the dorm rooms. There's a kitchen with all the things you need, a fridge and microwave. So you can cook pasta or make yourself a salad, you don't have to eat everytime a takeaway. Coffee and tea are free!Separate toilets for women/men.It's a good place to meet new people.

Disliked: Has only two toilets, one was mostly broken and two showers. The showers are great with hot water, but sometimes in the morning it was a bit crowdy.

Liked: The Royal Mile lives up to all expectations. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, bathrooms clean with good showers and the location is just great. I highly recommend it and will stay again with pleasure.

Liked: It is easy to reach, good value for money, the staff is really friendly, the rooms are clean, a locker is provided, breakfast is served for a small fee and overall I just think it's a great place to stay!

Liked: Only good point was the location - i wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone.

Disliked: Staff were unhelpful, most of them very rude. It was particularly unclean. And most disappointly myself and my partner were not given the same dorm room - on arrival we were told this was not possible because they were so busy and we 'hadn't specifically requested it'.

Liked: it was in the center, near alot, didn't have to look far for food, stores and what not.

Disliked: Sometimes it got hot, or I was woken up by traffic on the street.

Liked: It was right in the centre of town. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It felt like home away from home and worth every penny. It was safe and clean. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great hostel and good environment in Edinburgh.

Liked: Nice friendly staff and decent rooms, located in a great spot. Although, common areas lacking in space, kitchen not a full kitchen, room was very noisy at night (traffic noise), bed uncomfortable and lights shining in through curtains.
