Liked: The friendliness of both the staff and the guests and the numerous free facilities (wifi, coffee, showergel, etc)

Disliked: The loud noise that comes from the nearby pub and that I could hear from my room until late in the night.

Liked: Very friendly staff. SImple and nice, value for the money.

Disliked: When they say they have 'plenty' of showers, they really just mean two for each bathroom (female and male). Can be a bit hard to use the toilets and showers.

Liked: Its a terrific location, offers really great discount tours and has a great staff that is always willing and able to answer questions.

Disliked: The common room is tiny and is overrun by a long term group of people. There are only about 5 rooms and a tleast one is completely filled with long term occupants, people who live there. They are nice but stick to themselves and take over the common rooms making it uncomfortable for single travelers to hang out in the common space and meet others.

Disliked: one bed is too close to the door, basicly you cannot fall asleep before 00:30 on that bed because people go and come!

Liked: Very good price with perfect location and nice rooms! They have everything I need like full kitchen and small lounge,enough and clean bathrooms. Also staffs were so nice and friendly ! Ofcoure I recommand this place and I miss there so much !!

Liked: We loved our stay here. Staff was very friendly, beds were clean and comfortable and being right on the Royal Mile was excellent!

Disliked: It never actually gets quiet since you're on the Royal Mile. Have a few pints before bed and you'll sleep through the noise.

Liked: everyone was very friendly and nice. hostel was clean and well organized. other guests were also courteous and enjoyable

Disliked: internet was not reliable but high street hostel down the block was available for use so not a big deal

Liked: The location was awesome, and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The staff was always nice and my age, and the common areas were homey.

Disliked: The kitchen needs more appliances.

Liked: The Hostal is really good located. its over on the most important roads in Edinbrugh.

Disliked: The Bathroom is not well cleaned and the kitchen is quit small.

Liked: Sheets provided. Secluded to an extent, meaning not any outside traffic going through. Staff was extremely helpful suggesting places to eat and working with us and the airport when the airline misplaced my travel mate's bag.

Disliked: Luggage room was just an open closet, not locked.

Disliked: very noisy location, only one bathroom for all female guests

Liked: This hostel is in the perfect location: right in the middle of the city, near all the attractions and near all the hot pubs/clubs. The bathrooms were very clean with plenty of hot water for showers.

Disliked: Nada!

Liked: the room was huge, the kitchen's also a nice place to hang around. and what i love the most is the location. it's easy to find, and even easier to get around.

Disliked: only 2 showers and two toilet. if you like to take a shower at night then that's not a big problem, but if you're the kind who take shower in the morning, that'll be a bit of a challenge for the queue.
