 Quiet room, located in New Town, but within walking distance to Old town.

The price was very good considering good location and private room. Rooms were very clean although had not been updated in a very long time- there was no plug in the sink, enamel was coming off the bath, the window was cracked etc. Plus one shared bathroom (i.e. 1toilet and 1 bath) service a whole floor of rooms, although some of the rooms may have been ensuite.

I've been travelling around Europe and this is, by far, one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in within this price rage. It's in the perfect location, it is not only extremely clean, it has charming decor and the breakfast is great. I really don't have anything bad to say.

Beautiful building. Also loved the location- short walk from Princes street was SO convenient. The room was very big and comfortable and every morning we looked forward to the big Scottish breakfast that was included. Of all the hostels we stayed in, this was our favorite. Thank you very much!

very good sized room and bathroom. the room was always warm and everywhere was cleaned to a high standard. the breakfast was far better than I'd expected for the price.

i loved almost everything. from the room we stayed in, the welcoming and friendly gestures of the staff, the food- wow, they have everything and the location is nice, quite but near everything specially the bus station.. i will come back and stay there again..surely..tina peji-philippines

It was very quiet with comfortable beds and fairly clean. Good location if you want to be in the new town. The shower was terrible and barely had enough water pressure to rinse, which was annoying. Staff werent very welcoming, which might bother some people (always greet you with a blank look on their face) but overall a good place to stay- nothing special but does the job.

The situation to see all the important things in Edimburg it's really good.
