Customer reviewIt was a good place to stay. The Staff was very friendly and the ensuite bathroom was very well kept up, along with the Kitchen. I just had two complaints. One is the location. It is very close to Princes Street which has some shopping and restaurants, but it was a good 30-40 minute walk to the Royal mile, which is where most of the things I wanted to see (Edinburgh Castle, etc.), were. The other is that there isn't a lift and if you are on the top floor it can be a long trek up the stairs. Overall it was a positive experience, though. |

Anne-Katrin KaschadtJust everything, this is the nicest hostel I've ever seen. The moment I arrived there I just couldn't believe that I paid so little money. Everything is nice, clean, modern, cosy and gives you a good feeling. I also met a lot of nice people there, the staff is friendly and helpful and even though it's not directly in the city centre, it's a nice walk to get there. |

Customer reviewBeautifully restored house, very well renovated. Our group of twelve had one 10-bed dorm en suite and one double hotel room en suite. The hotel room was small but clean and tastefully decorated and had everything you would need. Breakfast is included with the hotel rooms, but not with the dorm beds (contrary to HostelBookers information!). The hostel kitchen, however, was large and well equipped and open all day, so no trouble with cooking or making your own breakfast. The bar is nice, too, although not very much frequented. The 10-bed dorm, unfortunately, lacked room to store things (no chairs, tables, shelves or wardrobe) and there are no plugs in the room. All in all, though, the value for money was very good. |

Djamilla Gorsirathe staff of westend hotel is really kind and helpfull. always someone there to help you with something, that not even has to have something to do with the hotel or your stay. i felt more then welcome to sit at the bar or in the restaurant. definatly coming back! |

Customer reviewFantastic. Stayed in private twin room which was excellent and worth the extra money. All facilities you could need incl bar. Huge cooked breakfasts, free internet. About 20minute walk into new or old town is only downside. |

Customer reviewThe beds were rather comfy, but the toilet situation, although not dirty, was bad: only one toilet for two dorms (abot 15 ppl each) the breakfast wasn't included but the prize was reasonable. to go to the city centre you have to walk about 20 minutes |
