Liked: It really does feel like a hotel more than a hostel, and the big dorm room has a lot of beds, but is a huge room.Tall ceilings. Live music on the weekends. Generally attracts a fun but courteous group of mixed individuals and groups.

Disliked: It's so clean and new it kind of removes the character a bit too. It's about a 15/20 minute walk out of town. Which is still ok. The showers often cut out to cold and the wifi was basically non existent (the staff didn't know how to restart the router!)

Liked: Clean and quiet, free internet and good cooking facilities. Also very cheap.

Disliked: It's a bit of a hike from the train/bus station but if you are organised there is a bus that drops you at the bottom of the street.

Liked: It's EXTREMELY nice for a hostel. It's no wonder it's actually a hotel - the inside is absolutely beautiful. Even the bathrooms are very nicely done. The staff is all very friendly and extremely helpful, and the guest lounge and kitchen area is great. I would absolutely recommend this hostel to anyone.

Disliked: Unfortunately, for whatever reason, there was water EVERYWHERE in the bathroom. It was kind of gross. It was still a lovely stay, though.

Liked: Absolutely lovely place. Stayed for four nights and didn't want to leave. Very relaxing; restaurants and grocery stores close by. Met some great people. Both the hostel and the surrounding area felt very safe. Great calm and caring vibe here -- I'd stay again if I was in Edinburgh.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: It looks like a real hotel and the rooms are really nice. We stayed in the 10 beds dormitory. It has the private bathroom.

Disliked: In the dormitory there are no electrical outlet and this is a really big problem. To charge the phones we had to go to the common room downstairs.

Liked: This was by far the fanciest hostel I've stayed at. Really posh.

Disliked: The internet never worked while I was there. Even the hostel computer wouldn't connect to the net sometimes. Made things very difficult.

Liked: very clean and charming hotel. Stylish, big and clean kitchen and public space. Friendly staff (except one guy who was was a little stern)

Disliked: 48h cancellation policy. Directions are very bad: I could have saved a 15 minutes walk dragging my suitcase from Waverly station had I known to get off on Haymarket (coming from Glasgow or airport)...

Liked: Muy moderno, céntrico pero tranquilo.

Disliked: Para la habitación compartida, ¡sólo hay un water en la misma planta! Tres duchas y un water conforman el baño de las dos habitaciones compartidas. Para echar un simple pis puedes esperar un buen rato !!!! De resto está genial!!

Liked: I liked that there was a fully equipped kitchen to use, including fridge and storage space.

Disliked: There is no lift and it is not easy to haul the luggage to the last floor. Also, no plugs in the rooms. The beds have squeaky metallic frames.

Liked: The decor was modern and the beds in the dorm room were very comfy. Unfortunately they squeaked VERY loudly but, once asleep, this obviously wasn't an issue. The hotel wasn't far from the centre at all and proved to be worth more than the price they were charging considering the ease with which one could travel to the centre on foot (a godsend during the Fringe).

Disliked: Squeaky bunk beds - this was pretty much all.

Liked: Comfortable beds, Good bathroom facilities.

Disliked: My Key Card stopped working on the night of 26th Aug which would have been extremely annoying if I wasn't with a friend. It still didn't work on the morning of 27th but the staff sorted it out for me.

Liked: The location is very convenient, less than 15 minutes from Princes Street and the area is quite nice as well. It's a very clean hostel and I particularly liked the bathrooms. Although there is not much space in the rooms to walk around, they are confortable and nicely decorated. It's a really nice place to stay while in edinburgh, I totally recommend it.

Disliked: Irina-Elena left no negative feedback.

Liked: modern look, cleanliness

Disliked: very squeaky beds, NO SOCKETS in the whole room!, automatic light in the bathroom (was annoying because it stayed on at nighttime and because it suddenly went off when I was under the shower), shower didn't work properly (hardly any water came out)

Liked: The location is pretty good. Easy to get to from the airport. About 30min walking up to the castle and 15 to get onto Princess Street. The room was clean.

Disliked: There are no lockers or power outlets in the room which is annoying. There is only one toilet for the two 18 bed dorms. No real common area, but there is quite a good kitchen.

Liked: The dorms felt clean and very bright and spacious, high ceilings

Disliked: Bit too far away from the center of town, only ONE toilet in the bathroom between two dorms!! (Up to 24 people!)
