Liked: stayed in an 18bed dorm. the room was big, comfortable and clean. the bathroom was clean. i didnt cook in the kitchen but could see it had good facilities. the internet facilities were handy.

Disliked: there were no mirrors/sockets in the bedroom (18bed dorm). there was no real common area to hang out and meet people. this made socialising hard.

Liked: It was a really nice surprise to find a hostel this nice, for this cheap. The whole hostel was very clean and well taken care of. The walls were painted nice and I felt very safe there. If I ever go back to Edinburgh, I'm definitely staying there again. It was well worth the walk from the Royal Mile! The staff were really great, the bathrooms clean and the breakfast was good too. It was a very relaxing stay and im glad I chose there.

Liked: the staff are lovely and very helpful! its neat and tidy, the rooms are spacious

Liked: The hostel is very clean and also there is a lot of opportunities about breakfast and dinner are cheap.

Disliked: I can't say something that I didn't like. I stayed only two and good nights.

Liked: Space in the rooms, the lounge, open and airy for all, they kitchen/table room with computer use was great, the staff members were all helpful.

Disliked: The shower water came out so slowly so it took forever for everyone to shower.

Liked: Location is good, near to Haymarket train station. The room is clean and ensuite. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is free internet which other places charge.

Disliked: The back garden could be improved.

Liked: Cheap, good for long term stays as the rooms were quite empty while I was there. Free laundry and cheap dryer.

Disliked: No power outlets in the rooms and while they have free wi-fi, it's quite dodgy and only works about half the time, if that.

Liked: The staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. The location is close enough to walk to the city centre and taxi arent too expensive either. Their bar is reasonably priced too. The rooms were clean and spacious. VERY comfy beds! plenty of showers and a big bathroom. We had a great nights stay and would definatly go back!

Disliked: There are only two little faults we could find wrong with Westend hotel; need brighter lighting in the shared bathroom (so we could do our makeup better) and there needs to be mirror and plugs in the shared bedroom but nothing to moan that much about.

Liked: Great location, free washing machine and tumble drier, nice bar

Disliked: Noisy dorms (everybody's walking around all night long), kitchen was not clean, free internet access had no access to the internet :), charged more than they should when plans changed and had to modify booking details

Liked: Everything is clean and perfect! The rooms, the baths, the kitchen....

Disliked: we have to pay an extra tax to arrive after 11pm. we have to pay for the breakfast, After 11pm close the bar, internet.

Liked: Wonderful Hostel!! Great value for money, I felt like staying in a very modern hotel. Nice kitchen internet is also for free. Would always go back there
