Liked: The room itself was so cosy and staffs were very friendly. This hotel is a little apart from the main station, but Edinburgh is not that big city, so you can easily walk around the city.

Disliked: Because this is near St. Mary's cathedral, it was a little bit quite around the hotel. Therefore, I recommend that you come back to hotel before it gets too dark or be with guys.

Liked: About 5 minutes walk to the Haymarket railway station; Breakfast is okay, costs 2 pounds.

Disliked: Room is a bit too narrow. And beds are noisy.

Liked: Great location, good value for money, big rooms, clean, friendly staff.

Disliked: Don´t book a female dorm if you have heavy luggage unless you fancy carrying it up four flights of steep stairs as there is no elevator. If you arrive after 11pm, you´ll have to pay extra 5 pounds late fee. Beds squeak loudly so take earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Liked: The beds were pretty comfortable and 2 members of the staff were very helpful the other 3 members not so much..

Disliked: I booked a 4 person private room and got stuck in an 18 person room. The beds are extremely squeeky so it is hard to sleep when people are moving around all night. Also they say the fridge is cleaned out every monday but it looks as if it has not been touched in about a year, it smell disgusting. No outlets in rooms or lobby this made things extremely difficult and people would fight over outlets. The bathrooms also need some work, people would pee on the floor and the smell would be left there. Also there is only 1 bathroom per floor with 3 showers.

Liked: Stuff are kind to me. But the reception did not open 24hours. The time of the breakfast is not good for people who want to go outside early.

Disliked: The bathroom are dirty, and dryer is broken. No shampoo, no rinse...

Liked: like a hotel, but with all the comforts of a hostel (kitchen ...) friendly pub inside the hostel wc and shower inside the dorm

Liked: Cheap breakfeast. Nice staff.

Disliked: No space for your clothes or towel in the bathing room.

Liked: Very clean and modern interior. Beds were comfortable in the dorm rooms. Bar staff were very friendly too.

Disliked: It was a little too far out of the main part of the new town, about 15 minutes walk, which is alot when you have a heavy backpack!!

Liked: Extremely friendly and helpful staff. All of them are incredibly nice!!! Quiet and comfortable environment with a beautiful church nearby. Good facilities and lots of information. Free wi-fi, big kitchen, lovely terrace all add value to the hotel. Just a friendly suggestion. I arrived at the hotel from far north and my train actually passed by the Haymmarket Station. The hotel is a bit far from the Weaverly Station but is just a few minutes of walk to the Haymarket Station. It will be perfect if it can be mentioned in the 'Direction' section so that travellers from the north without knowing anything about the city can enjoy this convenivence in advance.

Liked: The staff are amazing- they were all very helpful!! The beds were so comfy and showers are good!!!!! The bar does good food and fair price for drinks!!

Disliked: The beds were noisy and uncomfortable. That's the only bad thing.

Liked: Amazing value for money - proper hotel experience for hostel prices! Good bar (and tvs). Big rooms and bathrooms.

Disliked: Communial showers were better than our en suite... Getting a full breakfast for eight people was a bit of a chore.

Liked: It was the best hostel I have ever stayed; very convenient to the places to visit and very clean with good facilities. Staffs were also friendly. I will stay there when I come back again to Edinburgh.

Liked: It's a hotel and also offers a dorm option. You get all the service of a hotel, including a served breakfast, great!

Liked: the hostel was really great. the staff were just amazing and really helpfull and friendly. the room was quite big and didn't feel overcrowded with 8 beds in it. it was very clean. the bar is really nice and the breakfast was lovely. i've stayed in loads of different hostels and this one was by far the best!!!

Disliked: it's a bit far away from the centre but if you like walking it's perfect :)
