Liked: The staff were absolutely lovely! The room that we stayed in was very large and spacious, even if there were 16 beds in it, with high ceilings and large windows.

Disliked: the bunk beds were quite squeeky.

Liked: Lovely building, nice decor and comfy beds!

Disliked: Breakfast was a little manic (a bit of a queue for the toaster) and the full Scottish breakfast wasn't great value for money (£6 and not enough food!)

Liked: Cheap drinks at the bar downstairs! 20% off for hotel guests.

Disliked: Lights were motion sensor activated so you could end up showering in complete darkness. Beds creaked at the slightest movement. No lockers in the room.

Liked: nice bar rooms seem to be quite new we had our own bathroom in the room (with 8 beds) continental breakfast for only 2 £ kitchen was very clean

Disliked: PC did not work hostel had just a few small lockers

Liked: The bar is lovely, it was a total surprise to see such a smart restaurant in a hostel.

Disliked: The bathroom lights are on a timer - which is really dangerous when you're taking a shower and the lights go out!

Liked: Nice place with the Time Bar as a good place to spend some time in the evenings, kitchen area with free tea and coffee, staff super friendly. Bit of a walk to the city centre, but very close to Haymarket station. Only three showers for one entire floor, but somehow I never saw any queues. Bathroom clean.

Disliked: Internet connection difficult: computer had a virus and wi-fi was dodgy. Beds very squaky.

Liked: Clean, and much closer to the centre than i thought.

Liked: Nice hot showers. Nice building. Staff werehelpful - even during busy festival time.

Disliked: A bit of a walk from the main parts of town. Only 2 powerpoints in 12 bed dorm and they did not work. Not very helpful in a day of camera and phone charging. Had hair dryers in the bathroom but they did not work. Very low lighting in the bathroom - didn't really make much difference at night.

Liked: Nice big open space. Clean kitchen. Good cheap beer. I liked the good cheap beer best.

Disliked: Could have been a few more shitters.

Liked: It is very clean and tidy.

Disliked: The room has no electric plug. If you want to charge your camera/phone, you have to go to the bar. I really didn't like this.

Liked: The atmosphere. Very fun, spunky, and hip. Absolutely enjoyable

Disliked: No elevator. The stairs were steep, and long. But other than that, nothing!

Disliked: Takes about 20 minutes, walking fast, to get to the Mound.

Liked: The hotel was new and very nice. There was free internet for all and free wifi for all...

Disliked: I didn't find the soap in the toilet

Liked: The beds were very comfortable, and very welcoming!

Disliked: The TV-area wasn't much to speak about. And the free WiFi didn't connect.

Liked: The staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was great. Your room key gets you 20% off at the bar and the showers were a wonderful escape from the regular crappy hostel showers. It's not a central location, but that's clearly advertised and the walk is only 10 minutes into the center anyways.

Disliked: nothing

Liked: The property was clean, well organized, and seemed very safe. The personnel was incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to look up information to help us get the most out of our travels.

Disliked: The bathroom only had one toilet area, which was inconvenient seeing as it was not only for both sexes, but also was to be used by around 20 people at any given time.

Liked: The social area was ok and cheap bar

Disliked: there was only 3! showers for two 12-bed dorm... There were no lockers in the room, also a bit overcrowded.

Liked: it's a lovely hostel,it would be much better if the wifi signal is more stable and sockets are available in bedroom.

Disliked: the bed is making noise when you move.

Liked: Friendly staff who were really knowledgeable about Edinburgh, good size dorm and comfortable beds, good facilities good breakfast and not too far from the center of Edinburgh.

Disliked: There was a slight lack of atmosphere in the bar area. Was disappointed with how quiet it was on Friday and Saturday night. Disappointing because this is where we usually make friends in hostels. But this is my only criticism.

Liked: The restaurant on the first floor is very convenient plus we have all the additional amenities

Disliked: Maybe the bus numbers which pass in that area can be added to the website.
