Disliked: There should be a luggage room for travellers to put their luggage; I didn't have any coins with me so the lockers were inconvenient.

Liked: WOW! Had a private ensuite - firstly, room v. clean. 2 single beds for 1, v. clean and crisp sheets. Purchased 2 towels @ £1 ea and they were good! Beds were okay ie: squeaked so bad that I got up to make sure it was not broken - wondered what the 'heavier' ppl I saw in reception would have made of them. Secondly, shower was clean and pressure was AWESOME. Room v. clean. Reception & Staff friendly and v. helpful. Bistro & Cafe prices average but food good (ordered salad, large and yummy) - average prices £5 - £9. Looks like a cheap hotel - my Fri & Sat nite - the cafe area etc., is not one for young travelling backpackers - lots of families, lots of older ppl (over 50) so for a cheap and local place to stay, this is it. Private lockers to store luggage so v. secure priced at £.50p first 2 hours and £.20p hour thereafter. 8 min walk to waverley station - good restaurants etc., nearby. love love loved it for price & location but if you are travelling to meet others, this mite not b 4 u. ps lifts clean too :)

Liked: We had a twin room, which was very nice, surprisingly with own toilet and bathroom.

Disliked: The price was rather high, but I guess you have to expect this with rooms which are close to hotel standard.

Liked: Great location within easy walking distance of the city centre. Good size room with an amazing shower!! Staff very pleasant and helpful. Would definately stay there again.

Disliked: A towel or bit of shower gel would be a nice touch!

Liked: Good catering facilities - clean rooms - friendly helpful staff

Disliked: Bike shed poorly located down a flight of very steep steps - hostel very warm and alot of street noise at night

Liked: The hostel was all it was quoted; thedrawback from our point of view was the streetside rooms were very noisy _ perhaps double glazing would be the answer. Otherwise, a great place to stay!

Liked: Was most impressed with the cleanliness and location of the hostel. Cooking facilities were great and much appreciated. The staff service was good, especially when I needed assistance to get a school pupil back into her room (no english) as she had locked herself out and was in great distress at @ 4am one morning. Have already recommended this hostel to people and will continue to do so. Great experience and very comfortable.

Liked: Very Clean. Only 10 mins walk to city. Only downside was that our room was right by the road so was very noisy.
