Liked: We (party of 4) had exclusive use of 4 bed 'apartment'. Great to have your own room / personal space and access to kitchen etc. Location - perfect for Fringe Festival - everywhere in easy walking distance.

Disliked: Kitchen could have been better equipped - one glass, one old frying pan, one suacepan - however plenty of plates, cups, bowls etc.

Liked: Fantastic location; nice and clean single rooms. We enjoyed our stay.

Disliked: The kitchen was not too well equipped; Wifi is quite expensive

Liked: Extremely well located, five minutes from the old town centre. The apartments were clean, including the bathrooms. Having only one bed and a lock per room makes the place quite safe. Each room had a bed, an wardrobe a chair and a desk. In each apartment there was a large kitchen with a table and chairs.

Disliked: It lacked of free WiFi or PCs with an Internet connection. Instead, an expensive internet voucher was offered (5 pounds / 24 hours).

Disliked: Noise from the street - difficult to sleep especially during the Event - soundproofing not very good despite double glaze window. hand wash/Soap should be provided in toilets like in any restaurant, pub or hotel.

Liked: It was minutes away from the centre of Edinburgh and Pleasance Courtyard and the Festival. Very convenient situation. It felt safe and was clean, the staff were always helpful and friendly, you can cook your own food if you are on a budget, has useful facilites ie the laundry, hair dryer if that's what you want, and will store your luggage so you can hang around if you have a train or plane to catch after you check out.

Disliked: The wi fi was a bit crap.

Liked: Room is clean, the staff is helpful.

Disliked: There is no lift inside of the property, it's very inconvenient to carry the heavy luggage into the room. There is no free WI-FI in the room, you have to pay for it. The hostel I stayed in other countries, the WI-FI is always offered by FREE.

Disliked: No elevator, not very convinient to lift luggage upstairs.

Liked: The location could hardly be any more central. It's close to the city centre, Edinburgh castle, the Royal Mile as well as the train station and the air link bus. Good if all you want is a convenient, cheap, clean place to sleep.

Disliked: You might say that the place is not as hip as some hostels since during term time these are student halls of residence. The place doesn't have any distinct character; there is no wifi or computers or communal areas aside of the kitchens nor did I see any activities on offer. It's just real no-frills accommodation.

Liked: Clean.

Disliked: It was hard to find, my room was right outside a local pub which made it difficult to sleep even though I closed the windows. There were no facilities aside from the bed and room. The bed wasn't even made up for you and I had to do it myself.

Liked: Excellent location to the Royal Mile, could walk everywhere you needed to go!!

Disliked: Their internet was not working at the time I was staying there. They have limited cooking equipment and no breakfast was included in the stay. They also don't have a lift in the building and was staying on the fifth floor, which was pain carrying luggage up and down.

Liked: It's location was a bonus.

Disliked: Showers not always reliable and one of the toilets was out of service for the duration of our stay. Outside, around the night club, it often smelt of sick.

Liked: brilliant location. great value for a short break

Disliked: the security of the luggage room. when we stayed, staff give the key to luggage room to guest and a guest didn't return the key to reception so the staff just left the room unlock for the day. i didn't feel safe leaving luggage there. the doors squeak and bang rather loud in some rooms but otherwise, lovely place to stay

Liked: The privacy and security was excellent. Also, the location was perfect, particularly for the Edinburgh festival.

Disliked: There was no common area to meet people so I felt it was a bit isolating. The kitchen common area was not sufficient for this purpose as it did not allow you to meet people in other flats.
