Liked: Only location

Disliked: Everything, the sheets that were put on the beds were not clean, nothing was clean, smelly hotel, no elevator! Rude reception, charging the internet, noisy neighborhood, stinky beds.

Liked: Excellent location. Comfy bed and clean room. Very friendly, helpful staff.

Disliked: The price rise from last year!!

Liked: Clean, good rooms (usually university rooms so decent sized individual rooms with desks, wardrobes, proper beds etc)

Liked: it was a place to sleep

Liked: Good location, cheap, safe. Nice, pretty big room.

Disliked: Extremely loud banging doors wake you up anytime someone on your floor leaves, no large common area to meet other travelers. My window was broken and would not close (I wanted it open anyway, though).

Liked: Very friendly and helpfull personnel! When I called because I could not find the hostel they came outside looking for me :)

Disliked: I could not close the window and it was quiet noisy on the streets but with some earplugs the problem was solved.

Liked: You get a room to yourself and it would be great for groups of 6 as each apartment contains 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living area and is fully self contained. Very good value for money.

Liked: This was perfect for me, as I was traveling alone and wanted a clean, nice, quiet place to rest, and it was perfect! I loved how i had furniture and a nice desk for my laptop computer, too. It was very comfortable, and so close to the Royal Mile and the center of town. I definitely would want to return here again.

Liked: The cleanliness of the bedrooms was above expectations and even the bathroom's was acceptable. The hostel is located in a nice location near the Royal mIle which made it easy to discover the city, that's a real plus! Due to the private single rooms, it is rather easy to get to know further travellers.

Liked: the staff was very friendly and helpful at all times, late check-in was no problem - there is always someone at the reception if you need help/recommendations/..., it was perfect for a group of four people, very close to lots of attractions in the city, comfortable beds.

Liked: This is a university residence re-purposed as a hostel in the summer. Rooms are private, with 6 in a group that shares 2 bathrooms and a large kitchen. Rooms were large and had a desk (with lots of power outlets) and a wardrobe and dresser. Hot water did not work in either of the bathrooms on my first morning, but was fine after that. Not a great place to meet other people because there's no common room for the whole place, just the ones for individual groups of rooms. Very comfortable, close to the Royal Mile and the train station, and great value for the money.
