Comrie Croft is made for relaxing. The Croft is a former farmstead set amongst the Perthshire hills. Now a luxury independent hostel with a cosy, relaxing atmosphere and bags of character, it’s the ideal retreat from the city.

Welcome to Comrie Croft! The Croft is a beautiful rural hostel converted from two old farm buildings set around a courtyard. At the foot of a 3000 ft mountain, the Croft has the best of both worlds: the peace and beauty of the Highlands, together with easy access and an enormous range of things to see and do. Being in the centre of Scotland there are excellent day trip possibilies. Edinburgh or Glasgow are just an hour's drive. Our local village, Comrie, is a pretty, thriving wee place with a couple of good pubs and places to eat as well as traditional butcher, grocer and deli.

Facilities include mountain bike hire (and onsite trails), walking trails, play barn & field, free book & movie library, 24hr fresh ground coffee, and of course a large kitchen, comfy lounge and a barbeque and log fire in the courtyard.

Accommodation Information

All rooms are spacious and well decorated. Beds are provided with fresh sheets and individual reading lights. Some rooms have ensuite facilities (indicated).

Rooms include: Doubles, twins, family rooms (3 to 8 people) and dorm rooms with 4, 6 or 8 beds.

Location Information

On the southern edge of the Highlands, the Croft is tucked away amongst beautiful hills. The Croft includes 230 acres of interesting woodland and hill which you are welcome to explore. Deer, red kites, ospreys and owls are all easily spotted. We also have some of the most challenging singletrack mountain bike trails in Scotland!

Within a 10 minute drive or bus ride (or a short cycle) is Loch Lomond National Park, Scotland's oldest distillery, a range of activities like quad-biking, high ropes and archery, a family friendly wildlife centre. The pretty village of Comrie (2 miles) has cosy pubs and a great fish and chip shop. The market town of Crieff (5 miles) has lots of independent shops, art galleries, a swimming pool, etc.

The Croft is right in the centre of Scotland, so in an hour or less you can be in Edinburgh or Glasgow, at Scone Palace (the crowning place of Scottish kings), the Wallace Monument or a huge range of other places that we will be delighted to advise you on.
