Liked: Peaceful atmosphere, lovely and perfect location, nice beds, good shower, good kitchen and lots of lounge areas.

Disliked: No wifi, but then, surfing on the web really isn't why you should stay here. Take the opportunity to enjoy being in the middle of nowhere.

Liked: I liked it a lot. Great moutaineer hostel at a great location. Definitely a good place to stay.

Liked: They didn't fill up the dorms just because they could, instead they tried for as long as possible to let groups live alone in their dorms. Beautiful house and position. Close to many walks (although car is strongly recommended).

Disliked: Drying room not very good - it was quite poorly ventilated and it took a long time for things to get dry.

Disliked: on the confirmation was written that we should declare at the hostel any chaning directly. we were 2 adults and 3 children. I hat to paye the full amount for all. (5 x adults). The answer was that you had confirm this to us.

Liked: Perhaps you should ask what comments people have about the facility not just what they liked.I arrived at the hostel on the 21st at about 1245hrs and was told in no uncertain terms that registration wasn't until 5pm and was then locked out of the premises. Others who arrived later were in the same boat.On the Saturday I had to leave the premises at 10am and effectively was going to be locked out until late afternoon, I did eventually get them to agree, albeit reluctantly, to let me in after 1pm and sit in the lounge to read my papers. I should state I was doing the TGO Challenge walk across Scotland and was having a rest day in Braemar, hence the reason for hanging around the hostel.Apart from the above everything was fine.

Liked: Clean and tidy, nice lounge area to relax in with pool table. Nice big kitchen for group to have breakfast in. Loved the power shower!

Liked: Its location in the forest. Nice and quite quiet premises.A lot of information regardind wandering, eating out, weather forecasts, etc. were available.

Liked: Being able to stay in a room for two persons. The comfort of the lounge. Kitchen facilities were excellent. The location amongst pine trees yet within easy reach of places to eat out was a real bonus.

Liked: Nice old house, large kitchen, and the location is fantastic, only a few minutes from several walking paths into the surrounding hills. I'd like to come back when the highland games are happening.
