With options for families, individuals and groups of up to 24 people, the Schoolhouse is an ideal base in the Cairngorm park. The building is exceptionally well finished, with real cahracter and quality shining through.
There are 3 dormitories, all en-suite and all sleeping up to 8 people. There are also options for double, twin and family rooms. The showers are powerful and the heating is by open fire, wood burning stove and traditional cast iron radiators throughout.
There's a large common room with enormous sofas and a dining room with free tea and coffee always available.
A large garden supplies the kitchen with some of the ingredients of the freshly cooked meals on offer (till late) and guests can hire the BBQs. There's also a drying room and laundry service.
Schoolhouse is located on the edge of the bustling Highland village of Ballater, surrounded by mountians, rivers and forests with top quality walking, climbing, mountian biking and other outdoor activities avialble. There's always a great atmosphere in the Schoolhouse and guests often are treated to a bedtime story by resident storyteller, owner Cathy.
