Liked: There is just one dorm room, which makes it very easy to meet other travellers.

Disliked: The directions for how to get there were not easy to follow, it's a far way out of town (but on a good bus route), and the kitchen is very small. That said, I did enjoy my time there.

Liked: Not a lot Free vodka and tea

Disliked: If I was to describe the hostel it would include the following - Impossible to find - I know that I'm not the only person who felt this. One couple I spoke to were forced to stay in a hotel after searching for hours to find it. Other feedback in their comments book included "it took me 3 hours to find your hostel" . Despite this they have made no effort to make it any easier for their guests. The hostel is in what looks like a block of council flats and the "large white sign" that they describe is just spray painted on. The bed-room and bathroom made me feel nauseuos due to the heat. The kitchen was dirty and so cluttered with un-used appliacnces its impossible to perpare food. Also the table seats two so I'm not sure what they do if there is more than one couple staying there. Using the internet was ok, but you had to wait until the owners had finished using it, and this could be hours at a time. The owners over dried crusty pants were hanging in the bathroom for the entire spell of our stay. We couldn't use the microwave as there was an overcooked pot of porridge stuck to the base for the entire duration of our stay. With regards to hostels in this location - there is limtited choice. Its feels as though they know this and they can't be bothered to make an effort We sound really fussy but I assure that we're not

Liked: The old lady was nice, although she spoke no English

Disliked: The location was very far from the station, there was no hot water the entire time (not just the morning, as one review said), the directions to the hostel were useless (no map, the instructions were in English while the street signs and bus stops were in cyrillic, there was no street address given in Cyrillic, the instructions say "walk 100 metres from the bus stop" but it is unclear which bus stop and doesn't state which direction to walk in, and the bank they used as a marker was hidden behind a wall of construction) I didn't feel it represented itself accurately at all.

Liked: Beds are nice. The place has A/C. Owner provides maps and Informations about the town on arrival.

Disliked: Quite far away from the center (can be a pain if coming back late). Bathroom could be cleaner. Some services cost extra (use of washing machine, towels, RUB 100 both).

Liked: The price was right, and everything in the (tiny) apartment was clean. The staff did their best to promptly resolve the overbooking problem (below) and gave us a compensatory discount.

Disliked: We had arranged for a transfer at the train station, but the driver picked up someone else and promptly gave them our beds. When we showed up an hour later after taking a late-night cab ride, the hostel was full. They ended up putting two people in one bed and one of us on a cot that took up every square inch of leftover floor space in the dorm room.

Liked: This is a tiny hostel but what it lacks in size it makes up for in personality. The hostel is incredibly clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is one of a home away from home. With tons of little extra amenities freely available you really get a lot for your money.

Liked: Extremely helpful staff and plenty of facilities. Walls were a little thin and more showers would be an advantage but a very welcoming place to stay. I would definitely recommend it.
