Ulan Ude Travelers House

We are the only Hostel with free WIFI located in the downtown. Perfect location gives you just a 5-10 min walk from the transsib train station and less than a minute to the main sights of the city.
From our window you can see a tip of the Lenin's head's nose as our place is just on the Soviet square. Roomy, cosy flat with a guest kitchen, spacey common room and a hot shower will serve you as the best base for your explorings!

Ulan Ude Travellers House is the only centrally located hostel with everything (or at least minimum) a tourist needs on a TransSiberian track.
We have a big common room equipped with comfortable sofa, tvset, free WIFI internet is available throughout the whole property. Our guest kitchen has all utensils and equipment to cook home food. + we have a microbar.
All of above, comfortable beds and a hot shower will serve you as the best base for your exploring.
Denis, the owner, has traveled a lot through TransSib, so he'll be happy to share the experience and to give useful tips. We also arrange tours to lake Baikal and around, train and bus tickets to Mongolia and Russia.
Also you can do visa registration, laundry, arrange tickets to your next destination in Russia and Mongolia (buses and trains), join a day trip to Old Believers and Buryat village or even lake Baikal!

We give 10 roubles from every 600 roubles to local infant orphanage.

Accommodation Information

The hostel has 2 rooms for guests, each has 6 dorms (3 double bank beds) all equipped with comfy matrasses, blankets, pillows and bed linen. Bed linen and towels are provided for free. Each room has a fan. The view from the windows are pretty cool, you see main square from it, a tip of giant head monument's nose and the whole Lenin street which is called 'Arbat' by locals.
We have a lot of small fun stuff like guitar, harmonica, playing cards etc so there is something to do drinking your tea or coffee which is available all day.

It's very convenient to get to all transport spots - train station, bus stop for Mongolia, local city buses. The whole historical and cultural center is a short walk distance.
