Liked: It is very nice and clean hostel, close to the all places of interest. It has kitchen so you can cook by yourself, Suzdal is small town and doesnt offer a lot of places to eat.

Disliked: There is no female only dorms, then I arrived there the lady on the reception said they have only mixed dorms. I don't know why do they have female only room on this site. Showers are not working on the second floor, so if the hostel is full you will have to use only one shower on the first floor and wait a bit.

Liked: We really enjoyed staying here. It feels like a holidayhome. Everything is brandnew and they designed the hostel well. It is very quiet, the beds are comfortable, it's clean and the location is idyllic on the water. Suzdal was the best place we visited in Russia, so that also helps for an enjoyable stay!

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: The location is fantastic and the hostel itself is a lovely building with an excellent hall area. If you speak Russian, the female administrator is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Disliked: The gentleman was quite rude when we turned up to check in near midnight despite having sent emails (and received confirmation) that this was ok. Additionally, none of the upstairs showers work in the ensuite rooms and the banya is broken and both of these have been broken since it opened.

Liked: The property is a gorgeous and gloriously warm wooden chalet. It is impeccably clean with hot showers, wifi, flat screen TV a huge common area and a kitchen. The staff speaks limited English but is very friendly and goes out of their way to help you. It is only a five minute walk from the centre of town. They even gave me a sled at nite to go out and join the locals for some winter fun.

Disliked: I wish I could have stayed longer!!!

Liked: Bordering the river and surrounded by dachas and their frost-covered vegetable gardens, its location is idyllic. It has a great interior design, complete with a fireplace and original artwork. The mattresses and bedding are thick and very comfortable. The main kitchen is not yet quite ready, but when it is, it should be pretty amazing. The staff are very friendly, although they speak only the most basic English. They had overbooked but went out of their way to rearrange things and offered us a comfortable place to sleep.

Disliked: The staff speak very little English, but they are very kind and do their best to be helpful.

Liked: Nice, new building. Well set up. Clean, quiet.

Disliked: No kitchen at all, just a kettle and fridge. Staff is friendly but speaks next to no English.

Liked: Beautiful location along the banks of the river, really friendly staff, and much nicer rooms than many other hostels I've been to.

Disliked: The only downside was that the kitchen has no stove or oven so you can't cook for yourself, but the staff were really good at recommending good/cheap places to eat nearby.

Liked: The owners were lovely and the hostel has a great atmosphere!

Disliked: It was a very new hostel, so a lot of the facilities didn't work yet (eg the shower in our room, the wifi) and the kitchen doesn't have any cooking facilities.

Liked: It is a nice hostel, very clean and safe (seems very new too). When I checked in, I was told that there would be no hot water throughout the town and they offered to give me a discount because of that. The lady doesn't speak much English, but there is basic info like train and bus time table provided on the desk.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: It was spacious good location friendly staff though limited English

Disliked: No hot water at all due to no gas supply in the town for an indefinite period no kitchen so cannot cook- hust akettle no pots pans nor microwave

Liked: Amazing location, beautiful condition and building, friendly staff & great facilities.

Liked: Brand new, quality built, very spacious and comfortable. Tea / coffee provided!

Disliked: The reception did not know a lot of English so communication maybe a problem. No kitchen in the hostel yet (being built) so self catering is limited.

Liked: Nice ambience, freindly, lovely location. If you come by car here's your route: ulitsa Lenina - by Rizopolozhensky monastery turn to ulitsa Krupskoy and then to ulitsa Staraya (which is parallel to ulitsa Lenina). Go up to the end of the street by Torgovyje ryady. Then right in front of you there will be a dark steep street payved with large cobblestones. Take this one. When you have reached the bifurcation take the left street which is closer to the river. This is Naberezhnaya street. Drive on up to Godzillas hostel on your right.

Disliked: As far as I get it the showers in the rooms have not been working for several months ... One has to use common shower.

Liked: Very clean, location in Suzdal is great (nice view on the river on the front) Staff was very helpful, although they did not speak any English at all.

Disliked: The place is not ready yet but I'm sure the place is even better when it's finished. In the meantime don't be suprised that some facilities (sauna for example) are not available yet and you'll see a few constructors/workers around the hostel.

Liked: It was extremely new, easy to find with fab beds.

Disliked: Not all of the showers in the dorm rooms work yet.

Liked: The staff are definitely friendly, particularly the owner (a Brit living in Moscow!).

Disliked: It is still a "work in progress": yes, there are en-suite bathrooms in each room, but the showers in them did not work---only one or two showers worked for the whole hostel.

Liked: Great location by the river - but the best thing really, is that it is the only hostel in Suzdal and Suzdal is fantastic - we'd definitely recommend visiting. The beds and linen etc are lovely and new (IKEA). There is a fabulous plasma TV but no soft seating - just plastic garden chairs. The place will be fabulous once it's finished but that could be years from now.

Disliked: The hostel building is not finished - although in the 2009 Lonely Planet it says that it has Wifi, English-speaking staff and a banya - it has none of these. Very annoying as there is no internet access in town - fine if you know this in advance but not fine if you're planning to make onward travel arrangements once there. Not all the rooms are finished - there are only 2 working showers in the place, although each room does have an en suite toilet and sink. There is no kitchen, but there is a kettle and some crockery.
