Liked: great location! across the street from a wonderful bakery. walking distance to everything. very clean inside, bright rooms, with good beds, and good shared facilities for bathing and cooking/eating. (although it was not important to us, the walk up the stair well is grimy and smelly). it felt totally safe there. we really appreciated the screens in the windows to keep the mosquitoes out. Olga greeted us with such a lot of useful information, and was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. we enjoyed the other travelers we met (wide range of ages and origins), and appreciated the fact that it was a friendly and relatively quiet place. (we were not looking for a party atmosphere). we were completely satisfied and felt it was well worth the money we paid to stay there.

Liked: Superb location, easy to find, slap bang in the middle of everything. Great staff who are only to happy to help, small but cosy kitchen with good cooking appliances. Great tide and clean bedrooms and the bathrooms were spotless. Highly recommended.

Liked: Perfect location (3 mins to Nevsky Prospekt, 10 mins to subway, 5 mins to Hermitage, 3 mins to St. Isaac...), safety, extremely helpfull staff, equiped kitchen, clean showers, they make your registration in a day for only 100 RUB (most hostels don't provide this service, or they overcharge you - 20 EUR or even more). It was a low season, so instead of 4 bed dorm i got a private room for no surcharge. Couldn't find any negative aspect of the Zimmer Nice hostel, only internet wasn't working at the time of my stay, but it was not their fault (there's a nonstop internet cafe some 10 mins walk from the hostel - 1hr. for 60 RUB). You get a great value for the money you pay!
