Liked: Very friendly staff, good cooking facilities, relatively cheap place to stay.

Disliked: The most important thing is, that the cat is not taken care of properly. Its fur is full of huge lumps and Gizmo is the itchiest thing I've ever seen. So if you care for animals, maybe you don't want to go to this hostel. I would not want to support any business that does this to a cat. There are no locks on the doors. We stayed here for a fortnight, and no one cleaned the place during that time, except the guests did the kitchen tables. Toilet was pretty bad near the end of our stay. There was a staff member present when we came and when we left, but not on any other day. Our bed was not comfortable because the mattress was worn out. The hostel is really small and we were the only travelers. There were three Russian guys, but they were living in there.

Liked: Tim the owner was great, the hostel felt more like a friendly share-house and the private double was pretty spacious.

Disliked: The cleanliness of the bathrrom left much to be desired and though I dont personally have allergies the hostels description really should mention the prescence of a cat (however Gizmo is pretty awsome cat).

Liked: Very warm atmosphere here, the owner (Tim) who runs the hostel is pretty chilled out, really friendly and full of helpful local information to help point you on your way, wherever you want to travel and with whatever you want to do.

Disliked: No comments here.

Liked: 7 bridges Hostel has very good location near the city center and even thought it is a very competitive price. Staff - Tom and Julie are very helpful and friendly.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Staff is super friendly and helpful, Tim gave me loads of great tips and helped me as much as possible.

Liked: Host Tim. He was wonderful, very helpful and played a good host. Made our stay comfortable. Importantly speaks very good english :)

Disliked: Location wise it is slightly away from the city, so reaching the hostel first day became difficult. Couple of suggestions for Tim: Please include directions from St. Isaacs church (where the bus from cruise drops us). And also clear directions from hostel to city centre.

Liked: The staff of this hostel is extremely helpful. The total atmosphere can best be described as a second home abroad. The place has a positive laissez-faire atitude. Would definitely recommend it to other people.

Liked: Good location - short bus trip from just around the corner. Allowed us to arrive and check in at 6am, free baggage storgae and late check out - good cooking facilities and internet.Bathroom leaves something to be desired as lacks doors and locks - not the best from female perspective, little fixes would go a long way to making this a great little place.

Liked: Tim is very kind and helpful, and made us feel safe. We bet that he can and will help in everything that a non-russian-speaker needs in st Petersburg. Gismo, the cat, is the cutest in the world, and by the way, didn't cause me allergy as usual cats do.
