Liked: People were so friendly abd helpful!! Nearly like a home stay with Ira. However the cat was a little hard to take!!!

Liked: 7 bridges was so nice after lots of impersonal hostels. It's really cosy and comfortable and felt like home. Ira is lovely. The kitchen and living room are really nice and it's sort of like having your own apartment in st petersburg

Liked: The hostel manager helped me with many things above and beyond that I could have reasonably expected eg. buying a Russian sim card, HIV test for Russian visa etc.Met great people there. Best hostel I have styaed in.

Liked: Tim was incredible, very helpful with great recommendations. Willing to go that extra mile to ensure that his guests get the most out of their stay in St. Petersburg. A little out of the way, but the service more than made up for that.

Liked: It had a homely atmosphere and it was a nice place to meet people and hang out. Also the manager was very helpful and friendly and gave lots of advice on the city and on Russia as a whole. He even ordered food for us at a local cafe as none of us knew any Russian!

Liked: The guy who runs the place (Tim) is helpful and friendly, the lounge is well stocked with travel guides for St. Petersburg and other parts of Russia, as well as general Russia-themed fiction and many Russian movies on DVD. The hostel itself is located in a neighborhood with a lot of character; with lots of nice old buildings. The neighborhood also seems to be pretty safe, even at night. Whilst walking to Nevsky Prospect takes quite awhile, there are minibuses you can catch that will take you there in a jiffy. Note that the hostel does not provide a visa registration service.
