Liked: The location was good, next to metro. (until 00:00 if you would like to come back later you need to find a taxi)

Disliked: First of all we lived in a room that could make prisoners proud of their sells,it was too small (6 m2) for 2 persons, with fake walls that couldn't stop the noise for the next room (wich was a kitchen that the local students use to party every night). Also this is not a place for tourists cause there so many Russians students that the place looks like dorms, also just 2 persones of the staff could speak some english and they were not helpful, (we ask for some basic info about the city and they just tell us to use google). However If you still want to book to that hostel dont book a room for just 2 people with the name Spices (the rooms have names that comes from a paint that each room has so if you hear a nice name dont thinkfor something great its just a paints name)

Liked: Good location , great restaurant nearby

Disliked: Staff not always very friendly , no kitchen to cook one's own meal , just a microwave.

Liked: a small cafe with open verandah on the roof. Verandah is awesome.

Disliked: small bathroom

Liked: Location is good and place is very clean.

Disliked: During my 5 days stay, hot water was only available twice. Staff was friendly but poorly informed about St Petersburg main sightseeing places.

Liked: Position, design, hip restaurant located in the same building, free washing machine

Disliked: _ The walk from Moskovskaya railway st is more like 15-20 minutes _ Most of the staff, albeit friendly, DOESN'T speak english. _ The electricity was cut off at night from the bathroom area so if you want to use the toilets or take a shower you have to do it WITH THE DOOR OPEN for the light to filter in, or you wont be able to see anything _ Lockers in the rooms were not working _ CREDIT / DEBIT CARDS NOT ACCEPTED. Only cash. It's 2010, wake up people.... _ Having the bar terrace right outside the room's window might be a problem if you plan to take afternoon naps _ Quite disorganized: the receptionist didnt have change money and promised to give back in the evening, coffee machine not working, doorcodes switched or not updated, tried to offer 4 beds in a dorm room instead of a 4-person room (dont know if this was made on purpose or not), cleaning lady coming in the room at noon without knocking _Place is ok looking but it's made with cheap material (door metal handle cracked in our hand the first time we tried to open the door to our room, and we're not bodybuilders). _ I tried to bring guests in the room at 7am after a night spent clubbing, and they were kicked out quite brutally, even if we were quite, and no alcohol was involved. Nice. _ No living room / kitchen to socialize with the other travellers
