Liked: Only the location.

Disliked: None of the staff spoke a single word in English so I used few Russian words I knew.. My room had windows facing t Nevsky Prospekt street so it was too noisy and you had to be too tired to be able to sleep. I didn't see anyone clean anything in four days and the first thing they tell you is how to wipe the floors in bathrooms. The member of the staff sit at a desk between the rooms, kitchen and bathroooms so you feel a bit uncomfortable. you have to take off your shoes at the door. There's no internet just wifi.

Liked: Perfect location, on Nevsky Prospect right in the middle of the action, just a few steps away from lots of bars, shops, landmarks. . The 12 room dorm is in a separate flat across the hall from the reception, so very private. beautifully redecorated, clean, quiet, with its own kitchen and new bathroom, comfortable beds, but not crowded in. TV, free wifi, everything you need. People very friendly and relaxed- in short- absoluetely perfect. Will def return there when I come back to Piter.

Liked: Location Location Location!Close to the train station, especially from Moscow!Close to the metro station, just walk 2 minutes.

Disliked: The staff does not understand English. She doesn't speak even 1 or 2 simple sentences. It really took time to check in.

Liked: I was in the new part of the hostel, across the hall, which was very neat and clean and modern. The bathroom was really quite nice. The 12-bed dorm does not feel crowded at all.

Disliked: The two nice women in charge speak only Russian, which makes communication very problematic. Expect tourists in a hostel, so attend to them by speaking a lingua franca like English. Apparently, the main part of the hostel is not quiet as nice as the part with the big dorm.

Liked: The location (close to the Finlyandskiy Railway Station) is great. The staff was great---particularly if you can speak Russian!

Disliked: The included breakfast was very simple: a slice of bread, some cheese (or other similar topping) and either tea or coffee. Unfortunately, the bread was stale and the cheese a bit off! No air conditioning is available: even rooms with windows get very hot and humid in the St. Petersburg summer. All over, a bit pricey for what is provided.
