Liked: This place was clearly designed by someone who knows what backpackers want. It had all the facilities you could want in a hostel - plus more - free international calls, free laundry! It was clean and the staff were great. The dorm rooms were comfortable and had everything you needed. The location was alright. About 40 minutes walk to the Winter Palace, which is the centre of the sightseeing area, or you could get a bus. St P's is very spread out anyway though. Right near Moscovsky Station though, so convenient if you are arriving by train.

Disliked: My only complaint was that breakfast didnt start until 9 - which is too late for me!

Liked: The entire place was very relaxed: you take off your shoes when you enter, the door to the room was never locked, the kitchen was open for all, the check-out times were flexible, there were board games played/movies watched with the people at the reception counter in the evenings (these events were scheduled on a calendar in the hostel), etc... Also, the breakfast (which lasts till noon), free tea at all times, free internet at all times, and flexible check-out times were awesome. Overall a very good experience.

Disliked: No quiet hours to speak of = we were kept up for a while out first night there. But completely worth it.

Liked: It's really close to the main street in St. Petersburg. The hostel is super clean with a friendly, helpful staff. The safety lockers might be a bit small but it's quite safe to leave your stuff unattended.

Disliked: I can't think of anything that I disliked about the hostel.

Liked: One of the best hostels that i have ever been. It is a cozy hostel that you will naturally talk with others when you are having breakfast. The rooms are clean and spacious. One thing that i feel quite surprised is that there is electricity supply in the security locker. Finally, Yulya (the reception girl) is so cute!

Disliked: I like this hostel!

Liked: Really helpful staff, thanks Dima and crew.. very central really close to everything. They have everything you could want in a hostel, free international calls, free breakfast, free laundry, internet, plasma tv and comfy bed cant really fault it.

Disliked: a bit hard to find I wish there was a massive sign outside its really easy to miss. also I think maybe the directions should be changed to simpler ones, for example give the name of the restaurant across the road from the hostel so people can ask for directions there too.

Liked: The free breakfast is enough to energize me for the day and you really can't beat the proximity to the train station. Not having to lug a heavy backpack through the metro was a huge plus.

Liked: Great hostel, clean, comfortable beds and great showers. Location is good just a short walk from the metro and just off Nevsky.

Disliked: A few problems checking in as they had our reservation wrong but other than that all was good.

Liked: Amazing place! Perfectly located (right in front of the Moscow railway station), VERY clean and cozy. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will definetly stay at the Soul Kitchen hostel my next times in Spb and will recommend to my friends.

Liked: Close to the metro and train station.

Disliked: Directions from the metro station to the hostel is confusing and difficult to follow. The room right next to the kitchen can be noisy as it is near the - reception area, internet section, kitchen and the telephone.

Liked: I loved the atmosphere which permit to every traveller to meet new and friendly people, furthemore the staff is very young friendly and really helpful. The value for money is excellent and I found the cleanliness was excellent ( I have never seen a so clean bathroom in a full hostel :))
