Liked: We had a good time at Sabrina hostel. Although it was hard to find, beeing there was nice. The staff was very kind and did not mind us cooking one more dinner the day after leaving the hostel! Beds were kinda hard though, but for the money its a good pick!

Liked: at Fireplace - breakfast was great, nice good sized rooms, clean, good location. unable to comment on sabrinas as we did not end up staying at that particular hostel

Liked: when we arrived we were transfer to other hotel (completely different hotel) which is much further from metro station. I doubt the hostel even have private rooms.fortunately the staff at that other hotel is very friendly. No free breakfast there though. We were staying in 4-bed room.(just the 2 of us.which is great)

Liked: i booked a 4-bed room but was given a 14-bed room, they even charged me more when i checked out...i have no choice but to pay the extra as the staff doesn't speak english

Liked: The location is quite good, that's its best feature. But the whole place totally lacks of what I look for in a hostel; a staff that is there to help you and suggest you things and a place for meeting other guests. The common area is just there to eat the (terrible) breakfast or check internet trying to avoid the sound of the Tv that is almost all the time turned on because seems like there is one or two families living and working in the hostel and they like Tv quite a lot. =PStrange place.

Liked: Very good located, but the staff is very unpleasant, nobody speaks english. the rooms are ok, the kitchen too, but when you arrive, you're in a dilapidated yard, the stairs are dilapidated too, it looks like a place of the Third world... But if you forget that, the rooms are OK, and the prices are nice too.

Liked: Location was convenient, self catering options were good, place was clean and breakfast was provided.What I didn't like was that the hotel was overbooked and my booking was dismissed, they offered to refund my deposit and also offered a different hotel - however I didn't want to go elsewhere as friends and I had booked so we were staying in the same place. The hotel did their best to fix their mistake but I thought it very poor that they thought it ok to just tell me I didn't have a bed. I ended up staying in the same room room as my friends (who had booked a private room but happened to have an extra bed).

Liked: The staffs were very friendly and helpful. But the system of the hostel was a mess. At first we were told that we can check in at 2pm, but some previous resident took the key and we hv to wait till 4.30pm. I was there for 3nights. They have different person-in-charge every day and night. The worst thing happened was, I was forced to change bed every night, because everytime when i was back fr my trip, there were other resident;s stuffs on my bed. It was taken everyday.

Liked: It was very nice time in St Petersburg. Bed linen was not very good quality, as well as breakfast (not amazing pancakes once). But this is compensated by extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Liked: looks a bit strange from outside, but inside it's a nice and modern place to stay. The staff is a bit chaotic sometimes - but maybe this is just the Russian way... ;) All in all it's a hostal I would recommend.

Liked: Good location, 5 mins from Metro and 10 mins from centre of town but finding the actual hostel was a bit of a problem! There wasnt enough showers for rooms and beds are a bit hard, but at the price with breakfast included Im not complaining!

Liked: Great location, friendly staff at the reception, BUT: Mainly unfriendly Russian-speaking staff who made you not feel welcome, we did not feel like paying guests but like intruders into a private Russian home. Forget about the breakfast, it is very "russian", the bread was dry and had mold/mildews (green very-visible spots!) on it. The day we checked out there was no hot water and when we took a hot shower later that day we where told its not allowed after 12pm.
