Disliked: Staff behavior. Particularly one of the receptionist. Only she was un-cooperative.

Liked: It was very close to center (Nevsky Aveneu). Automatic keycards were very useful and provided high level of security.

Liked: More like a communal.hotel than a hostel, but if you want a quiet place in a fantastic location, this is perfect

Liked: the rooms and toilets are clean and the staff were really helpful. The location is very near to the main attraction as well. there's no curfew either and there's free internet and computer available. the staff speaks English and really tried to help me with everything she can.

Liked: Great location to central sights. Great buffet breakfast available for 150 rubles at their other property Grand Hotel across the road.

Disliked: Only slight issue was not much English spoken so difficult to book any ongoing travel.

Liked: The location

Disliked: Overnight staff shared the dorm rooms with guest. As they had to get up each time the door rang it led to a fair bit of noise & disruption.

Liked: The big plus for this hostel is it location.

Disliked: The hostel is divided over 3 floors, the second floor till the fourth floor. The second floor is where the reception is located and this floor is clean and not to smelly. But when you go up the cleanliness will drop and the showers will give a bad smell of something that is wet en never been ventilated. And second they charge you extra money for registration and you have to do this by the hostel.

Liked: although desk staff not that helpful,excellent central location and modern clean toilets and bathrooms plus newish bunks and mattresses make this place excellent value and I would return again

Disliked: trying to get help from desk staff was like trying to pull teeth-difficult

Liked: comfy beds and good showers

Disliked: We stayed in an 8 bed dorm and it was quite cramped in the heat. The kitchen is very small for so many people but not many people seemed to self cater so we didn't often have to queue.

Liked: One of the receptionist was very rude to us and was not helpful when we ask her something. They do not except confirmation from hostelbookers. Make sure to have a printed copy of the hostel confirmation slip. Clogged shower.otherwise everything is good. Perfect environment

Liked: Average. This hostel is great if you aren't expecting much when it comes to your stay. Clean and fully equipped the latest in Ikea technology, Nevsky Hostel however has a few problems that unfortunately add up. The showers are terrible, the light switches required about 20 flips to work, and there is no free laundry service(not even bath towels.) Every room requires a key card to enter, but every room can be entered by your key card, and the lockers in the rooms are sturdy but the keys to open them are weak and require years of training in lock picking to open. Location is excellent and the staff is courteous and helpful, if a little bored looking during the down time. All in all Nevsky Hostel is a solid 'B'

Liked: Fantastic location. Quite easy to find. New furniture and appliances etc. Good bed provisions - comfortable, nice bedding, towels etc
