Liked: Let's start with the positives - this was undoubtedly one of the cleanest hostels I have ever stayed in, and the location was superb. It took 3 minutes to walk to the Hermitage, the Cathedral on Spilled Blood, or the Nevsky Prospect. I couldn't have been happier in that regards. It felt safe, and being in a courtyard it was also fairly quiet. On the downside, I was put in a 10 person room for the first night despite booking a four person room. I was told I would also have to move room on the last night, but when I returned to the hostel at lunchtime on the second day I was told to clear my stuff out immediately as a party had booked the room I was currently in, so I had to move a day earlier. As regards the atmosphere, there are three seperate floors, each with a small communal area, consequently it wasn't great for meeting people. The hostel does have free wifi, which is great if you travel with a laptop, although my room-mate couldn't access it for 2 nights, and if you prefer to travel lighter a pc would have been very handy. I'd suggest that, for a single traveller this isn't agreat destination (unless I got particularly unlucky, which is possible), but the location and price make it hard to ignore, so maybe better for a group who are already friends.

Liked: Decent hostel, staff were great, hostel was in a really great location, close to everything. The hostel had good Wi-fi, decent kitchen, an amazing shower in one of the two bathrooms on the main floor (actually 2nd of 3 floors in the building)

Liked: Really nice place, just a short walk from the Hermitage! Security is very high and all the rooms are very clean. It's quiet in the night, since it's located in an ' inner court'. But every little noise withing the hostel can be heard trough the walls. In this time of the year, it was not crowded. Nevsky is not the place for party seekers anyway. I would recommend the hostel to everyone.

Liked: Comfy, clean and bright rooms, a 5 minute walk from Nevsky Prospekt and the metro. The electric super shower with radio and disco lights provides good evening entertainment.

Liked: There was hardly anyone else staying at this hostel while i was here (April '09)- It was lovely and quiet, although traveling by myself it was lonely at times!Great location, walking distance from everything. Although it is a little hard to find, make sure you have the directions before you get here, and dont spend 2 hours wandering around in -3c like I did =)The hostel is super clean, facilities are great, Highly recommended!

Liked: Good and very clean hostel. Easy to find once you know where to look!The directions on the website are not very good. Once you are in Bolshaya Konushennay look for the Louis Vuitton shop, entrance to the courtyard where the hostel is, is right next to the shop. From the courtyard there's a sort cut that leads to Hermitage in less than 5 minutes!The internet is painfully slow, but almost right opposite the hostel there's an apple shop and internet cafe with great internet connection.The hostel is very clean and the kitchen looks brand new. There's a mini market across the road.

Liked: The Hostel is right in the centre of St Petersburg so therefore it's really easy to reach all the tourist sights and have a good night out! Excellent value for money.
