Liked: The staff is friendly and the bedrooms are big. The kitchen is also very nice. It's like a homestay.

Liked: Great place. It's basically a home-stay. You'll be staying with the family in their house and you have access to all parts of the house and a nice garden too :) You have the option to eat breakfast/supper/dinner if you like, you'll need to pay an extra fee but it's cheap and the food is really delicious (home-grown organic food!) The location is also excellent. You'll have a nice view on the mountains and the place is also very quit. There are numerous hiking trails in the vicinity and lots of them will go up, through dense forest.

Disliked: It's cheap and it's a homestay so don't expect luxury and a lot of facilities. Internet is there but only very limited available. Also, directions to this place were really really awful. The hostel was almost impossible to find. It's hard to explain but you'll need to go to the centre of Krasnaya Polyana, take the road up (quite steep!) A lot of taxi's are there and they want you to bring you there because "it's too far away to walk" However, after about 500m (unsure) up, take the road on your left hand side and then turn right after 100m or so. Hope you'll find it!

Liked: the hostel doesn't see many foreign travellers, actually i was the only one, which will certainly change as the skiing facilities improve. lots more family friends staying at the house instead, which is the friendly owner's home.downstairs in the kitchen there was constantly pickling of fruit and vegetables going one, which i got to try.laundry was free also and dried in the garden.the village is not very big, so the place is quite close to everything and in scenic surroundings.

Disliked: the dorms are very full of beds.
