Liked: It is a very clean hostel, the dormitory doors lock, two big kitchens with almost everything inside. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the managent was very understanding and helful as well.

Liked: Good hostel, very clean excellent facilities good place to meet other travellers owner was very nice to us upon arrival and throughout the stay. Location was good not far to metro and only a pleasent 15 min walk to Red Square. Lots of good bars, cafes nearby and a supermarket 30 seconds away. Would have no hesitation staying here again.

Disliked: Had some problems with reservation there was no record of it after looking into it seems it was a problem on both the hostel and hostelbookers by the looks of things.

Liked: Location is good.

Disliked: I didn't like one of the staff people that didn't helped, said that I'm too late to ask about discount about International Hostel, but they didn't ask about it in the begining. The room was dirty (few papers hide behind the courtine, and the bed have some sharps that hurt my wifes leg. They asked money to do a register for the police. This info is not clear anywhere in the site, so I don't know if they're asking for something unfare.

Liked: Godzillas was really a good place to stay. The dorm was ok, everything was clean, the place seemed to be really safe, staff helped us with the train tickets (she looked with us the trains up and filled in sheets of paper which we could use at the railway station at the ticket counter - bying tickets was no problem this way)... Would go there again, can recommend it!

Disliked: Actually there was nothing to dislike...

Liked: Good hostel. Just a bit noisy if you're in one of the rooms on the same floor as the reception.

Disliked: Clean. Good kitchen and common room with movies. Friendly and helpful staff.

Liked: helpful staff (cant remember name of the lady), her english was pretty good. cheap registration (180 rubles) compared to 600 we paid in other hostels. cozy common room upstairs

Disliked: tiny kitchen (max 2 ppl at one time), no cooker or pans. no keys to dorms (doors wide open all the time). no lockers, could only leave bag at reception. nearest metro station about 10 min walk. 20 min walk to Nevsky Prospekt.

Liked: I stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of my Trans-Siberian trip and really enjoyed my stay. The facilities are very good and the hostel is cleaned every day. The common room is a good place to relax and meet other travellers and the hostel is walking distance to centre. The best thing about the hostel was the staff who were extremely helpful and especially thanks to Drew who gave me a huge guided tour of the city on his afternoon off! Great way to start my travels :)

Disliked: There was nothing I disliked about this hostel.

Liked: best showers/bathrooms i've ever found in a hostel. nice rooms and comfy beds! helpful staff, who let me hang out at the hostel in the afternoon, take a shower etc, after i'd checked out while i was waiting for my train.

Disliked: nothing

Liked: I don't know what it is exactly about Godzillas hostel but it's really the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Cheap, clean, central, super friendly staff, and all the people I met there were super friendly and respectful. There was a lot of toilets, showers, and two kitchen so I never had to wait, and the lounge was awesome with the selection of 400 movies! There's just definetely a great ambiance there and I would recommend the place to everybody.

Disliked: Currency convertion rate was a little high.

Disliked: it was very hot there. when we arrived, one man in the staff said that the bedrooms we had booked were already booked by other people, so we had to pay more. we refused to do it.

Liked: reasonably friendly, modern, free bag storage, free wifi, cool lounge room with cool movies to choose from, laundry (160 rubles), 1 kitchen per floor.

Disliked: my biggest issue with godzillas is that they really push the registration on new arrivals. they claim you need it even if you're only staying 1 day however there were changes to the law in march of this year that you only need registration if you stay more than 7 business days (previously 3 business days). i've just arrived in a hostel in st petersburg and they've got a sign behind reception saying if a guest plans to stay more than 7 days then they will register them free of charge! less than 7 days is optional and it costs 550-700 rubles. of course you can still be stopped in the street (i wasn't but i saw an asian girl stopped by police) but my plan was to state clearly the law (7 days) and if that wasn't enough then tell the police no problem, we call my embassy, they fix it. yeah so the godzillas registration thing (600 rubles) seems to be a scam to me.
