Liked: the dmf daniel that owns the place and is the employee, tells you how successfull his business is....told me that my booking was not valid because he forgot to update the site, sorry @ 1 am chickin.....after i arrived...but you have to find another place, and he tried to send me to a place 20km out of town because apaparently it was cheap....very interesting experience

Disliked: dmf daniel, oooh i loved him.....

Liked: This hostel was in quite a good position near the Arbat, although not that near to the centre. There was also quite a friendly atmosphere in the evening in the large common room. However, it is unsigned, very smoky (staff always smoking indoors), and poorly equipped, with only 1 shower for everyone, and the toilet in the same room as the shower, which was ridiculous. There was also a lack of cutlery and other kitchen facilities, and the frige was packed full of horrible, gone-off food.

Disliked: Klara left no negative feedback.

Liked: I booked my stay for 1 night from 1/5/10 till 2/5/10 in Buddy Bear Hostel. 1stly when I arrived at Smolenskaya metro, the direction given by your website is wrong. It was stated that we should turn right after exiting the metro, but we ended up the other direction from the hostel. We then called Buddy Bear hostel & they asked us for our name of booking & later explained to us how to go to the hostel. When we arrived at the hostel, the staff told us not to be too disappointed as our booking is cancelled due to overbooking. They blamed this to the administrator of the hostel. At the 1st place, when we called them for the direction & they knew our names, y didn't they tell us that we don't have a room & made us look for them for more than 1 hour. Out of disappointment they asked us to go to their sister hostel Pushkin Hostel on Old Arbat street. The Buddy Bear hostel staff made a call & guaranteed 3 beds for us. When we arrived at the Pushkin hostel, they only had 2 beds & wanted to transfer us to another hostel called Monroe hostel which is again another 20 minutes walk away. After walking for nearly 2 hours searching for hostel, we couldn't take it anymore & offered to let 1 of us sleep on a convertable bed in Pushkin Hostel. As for me, I think Buddy Bear should compensate us out of goodwill with a free stay in near future.
