Liked: Exc ellent little hostel run by a small family owned by the three Katia's they were very helpful and friendly. The Hostel is close to metro and close walk/easy walk to Red Square.There is no common room and the kitchen is a bit small but has everythiing you need other then this the hostel is amazing so if you are looking for a quiet hostel with a good atmosphere this is for you if you are looking for a party then you may want to choose another. ALL in ALL Great Hostel!!!!

Liked: The Chocolate Hostel is a very fresh institution in the city of Moscow - not far from the most important sights of Moscow like Kremlin or Pushkin Museum of Fine Art and really only few minutes far from the next Metrostation. The Atmosphere and character from the hostel itself is good and honestly described in this site and in the homepage of Chocolate Hostel. It is fine situated in an about 100 years old buildings complex. Therefore it has an own nice atmosphere by fresh restored rooms of hostel. So, the location, the very good cleanliness and the safety from and in the hostel are the other very strong points from the characters of this hostel. The helpfulness of the staff was very good, but I rated the second point in my opinion as "Average", because I had some misunderstandings to the staff leader Katya about our both opinions from self-evident attitudes from hostel staff to a guest like myself and in the reverse case. Therefore I felt sometimes her attitude not friendly and in my opinion as not okay. But in the end of my spending time she was correct and friendly to me.The Chocolate Hostel exists since June 2009 and without my person were sometimes only an other guest in the hostel. Therefore it could not be a "fun place to meet people". It is not the guilty from the staff. The given breakfast was okay too. Now I wish the Chocolate Hostel a better success and good luck in the future.

Liked: I like this Hostel very much. Actually it's my first time to Russia, I am afraid that I cannot communicate with locat people and difficult to find the hostel. However, I found this hostel is not as difficult as I though to find it out. Just few minutes from the metro station. And few minutes walk to Red Square, very convenient. In addition, the staff here speak well in English, I can communicate with them well. They provide delicious breakfast and useful Moscow map, they are friendly and nice. We can also have free wifi internet access, speedy internet accesses, really out of my expectation. I love this hostel, and I think it's good for travellers.

Liked: New hostel, just opened and visibly made with a lot of love by people who's dream it is to have such hostel. Best hostel I have stayed in Moscow so far. Very close to Pushkin square, 5 minutes walk to 3 metro stations, and few metro stops only from express train to airport. Fast internet, good bedroom which could be locked (I stayed single), safe environment, new beds, curtains, towel, good bathroom, warm shower, kitchen, free coffee and tea, television room, nice breakfast offered with fresh bread, AND a very special homemade chocolate milk prepared by Katya. (The theme of the hostel is chocolate, and they started a small exhibition (chocolate, cookbooks) - bring them some chocolate from your country!! They also start a library for the guests: bring books!)The staff (Katya) was very friendly, well enough english speaking. But since it had just opened, there was no other guest. Atmosphere I cannot really judge. But the owners have visible fun in helping tourists.I used the hostel for 1 night stay over Moscow between Aeroflot flights and it's perfect for that purpose. I will come back.One remark: they should explain online a bit better how to find the house, Katya promissed to do that.

Liked: A lovely, lovely hostel!!!!! New and sweet as chocolate. You can find everything you need and the friendly stuff is always ready to help you. The Chocolate Hostel is located very close to the center. The five minute walk to the next metro station, the very clean hostel and friendly atmosphere Thanks to Kate and her team.
