Liked: Good breakfast, nice rooms with lockers in them, and clean bathroom and toilet.

Disliked: Being in the room with the bathroom next to it meant a lot of light being turned on and off during the night.

Liked: Great receptionists. They called up the banya for me, asked the opening hours and how much it costs, lent me an extra bedsheet to wrap myself up in, in the banya, and told me how to get there - excellent service! Chocolate Hostel ticks a number of hostel requisites: 1. Good location 2. Clean (no cats) 3. Lockers 4. Wifi 5. Kitchen and Breakfast 6. Good beds

Liked: Very nice place where you feel at ease, the stuff is very nice and helpful, the bathrooms are very clean and everything is nice and comfortable! Besides, they offer the breakfast! I would definitely recommend it.

Disliked: It could be problematic if you're in hurry in the morning, because there is only two bathrooms.

Liked: was easy to walk to the main tourist attractions and was close to the metro

Disliked: no sink in bedrrom, only 2 toilets, breakfast was average, kitchen facilitites were small, was not a lively atmosphere, stairs to hostel definitely need repairing as they are very run down, pillows were lacking in comfort

Liked: The owner/operator was stern, but very helpful. She made sure you adhered to the house rules ;)

Disliked: Difficult to find when dropped into Moscow. Inadequate signage out the front.

Liked: Everything! One of the best hostels I ever stayed at! So sweat staff. We arrived on new years and they threw a new years party with homecooked Russian meal traditional for this time a year. They even gave new years gifts to all their hostel guests. Vodka and champagne for free. We sang, watched Medvedev's speech and had a really nice evening. It was a very good place to meet other travellers. There was a great bunch of people staying there. The room was nice and bed was comfterable. The bathroom was great. Just across the door, 3 steps from our room. It felt like our private bathroom. Best bathroom in any hostel or hotel I've stayed at. You really felt at home at this place. Definitely coming back here if I go back to Moscow.

Liked: It was a really great hostel. Clean rooms and bathrooms, a kitchen you can use for meals other than the breakfast that is provided. The staff were really friendly and even cooked us pancakes one night, We shared chocolate cake with them the night after. Even though the hostel was quite quiet we still managed to meet people in the dining room area. Very much recommended. Great value for money. They also registered us quickly and without any problems.

Liked: The location was good it was 10minutes walk to the centre of the city. The staff were very helpful and helped us with booking trains and finding supermarkets in the city.

Disliked: The atmosphere was not great! this was because people did not talk to each other they kept to their own groups but this was the people staying in the hostel. We were the only non -russian people staying at the time and perhaps this is why we found that no one talked.

Liked: Decor. The people. Atmosphere. Really cosy and welcoming hostel.

Liked: Stayed three nights, early June 2010, in a 6-bed dorm, at the end of a four week trip. Staff's English was good. When asked for assistance they were consistently helpful and patient (especially with some of the little old ladies who didn't seem adapted to hostel life). The only negative I can think of concerns the lockers which are cheap (lock and key; you can't use a personal lock). But I decount that concern as this is a small hostel with a staff presence throughout the day.

Liked: I stayed here in April and had a wonderful time. The staff especially will make sure you're looked after and happy. Tania was incredibly kind and helpful and Anna was lovely and friendly. If you want somewhere to relax in safety and comfort then definitely book in here.

Liked: The staff were pleasant but not overly friendly. They made no effort to register myself or my friend who wer staying in Russia. We had to broach the subject and by then we were lare and had to pay a late fee (still cheaper than the finewe would have faced at customs). As we were in a strange country some help with registration would not have gone amiss.

Liked: That is really fantastic place!!! Pleasant and helpful staff, good breakfast, clean and very close to metro, Kremlin and all central places to visit. I really recommend Chocolate to everybody!!
